I had them at 6-11 before the season started, and it looked like that wouldn't happen after the first 8 games. Now, I'd be disappointed with that.

That prediction sounds about right (maybe I said 5?).  They are better than I thought they’d be.  By a lot.  This line is legit.  These WRs are serviceable.  Goff isn’t making too many mistakes.  The defense is probably worse than I thought though.  The defense is really really bad.

3-2 won’t be enough though.  Needed that game last week to allow for 2 losses.

No amount of Blue Kool Aid would make anyone predict it, but if they managed to win out, I'm pretty sure that would be enough.

Considering the start they had, that's still progress

The defense has improved by a lot, though. They're now about what I hoped they'd be to open the season.

The defense today is much better than at the start of the season though...

Much, much better.

Add a few top-notch defensive playmakers in next year's draft... and maybe a key defensive FA and...

They might actually have a really, really good defense next year.

IMO.

Sorry guys.  I really hope that I’m wrong but I am jaded after 4 decades of Lions fandom.   Right when you are feeling good about taking a step forward is when they SOL you back into reality.

Lions sloppy and Goff makes a multiple poor decisions.

I’m not ready to say good, but definitely not bad and that has them separated from the bad teams.  It’s also why losing last week hurts so bad, especially considering a bad team like Jacksonville actually won their game against a better team.

Last week was a big missed opportunity. Had Buffalo on the ropes and could have been on a 5 game winning streak going into the Minnesota game with a ton of momentum.

Regardless, the arrows are pointing up. Not ready to call them a good team yet but I don't think they're far off. Blowing out Jacksonville after that heartbreaker against Buffalo told me a lot about this team/coaching staff.
