One of the few things my wife and I bicker about is I do this thing where as soon as you turn a light on inside, I close the curtains/drapes/blinds/etc.  I have this hangup about people being able see inside my house, particularly from the front. The back I don't care so much about as we have a lot of coverage/privacy.  She thinks I'm weird.  Am i?  At least in this context?  It's especially bad now with the early nights.  By 4:30 I'm shutting down.  But I'm also the kind of person who doesn't really care if it's dark inside.  We still have christmas stuff up and those lights throughout our rooms satisfies me.  But if a lamp or overhead light is turned on.... close it up.

I'm the same way. Probably because growing up, we lived on a corner lot. The whole neighborhoods kids would cross our lawn staring right into the front window.

the front of our house looks right out (/ in) into the street. We have a big picture window and we have always had some kind of drapes or blinds on it. But a funny thing is that a few years ago we were doing a bunch of redecorating and the we had taken down the drapery rods and had some work do to on the window, and it was probably like 18 month we had nothing on the window, and it became completely normal. Then eventually we put in a new blinds system, which we are back to closing pretty religiously when it gets dark.      ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
