  1. Past hour
  2. That was very kind of you to just react to my madness 😂
  3. True. As recently as the 70s/early 80s, people deemed undesirable were subtly and/or not so subtly encouraged to not move into certain neighborhoods. At least that was true in Boston.
  4. I didn't say it was a crapshoot. Clark has a much better chance of succeeding than Workman or Jung or Hao Yu Lee. It's silly to even talk about that. However, I don't expect him to contribute much in the near future and there is no guarantee of future stardom, much like Torkelson, Greene and Mize when they were coming up. MLB is hard. I think it's unlikely that he becomes a below replacement bust too. In fact, my expectations are close to the ones you mentioned. The range of possible outcomes is wide though. Don't forget Jobe was universally regarded as one of the top couple of pitching prospects as recently as last year. So, he's not a lot different from Clark in that respect.
  5. I’ve never had that problem. Just avoid those closest. The ones I mention above are usually stress free. Depending on where you come from.
  6. Similar. If traffic looks to be backing up near 96 I either get off at Warren and that to grand river or will try to hit the grand river exit, which was closed a long time. Heading down grand river if you stay in the right you avoid the line of people, who for whatever reason but I’m glad they do, try to turn onto the 75 service drive. It looks like a backup but you fly right by. Then turn down Elizabeth near the new UM school. My lots are either 2130 or 2055 Cass. 2055 is better I thjnk because a right turn exiting takes me to Michigan and I take that back to Trumbull to get back to 96 to 94, avoiding the traffic at grand river and 75. if there’s a ton of people or an event at Ford Field then I pick a lot by LCA. For wings games I usually park in the structure if I’m fortunate to get a suite pass, if not then of those same lots and walk it.
  7. I am in Costa Rica and the Starlink kit I purchased will be put to test tonight!
  8. Reese is why Avila took so many 6' 4" pitchers. My biggest worry when they took Jobe what that with a guy who spun his breaking ball that hard you might as well block out the lost year for the TJ surgery in advance. If he comes back from TJ spinning the ball just as hard, I'd guess he can be effective but the arm will always be a time bomb.
  9. YouTube TV doesn't get channel 20, I dont think;
  10. I still believe in Harris but there is one rather large pimple forming on his nose and that is the unwillingness or hesitancy to make significant trades. That's one key team building lane that has been essentially under construction since his arrival. Like his players he needs to step up and add this to his mix.
  11. Someone very close to me has just been diagnosed with Parkinsons. Imagine if we spent a trillion dollars a year trying to find effective treatments and cures for insidious **** like that. But hey, we got people to bomb.
  12. Corbin Carroll lite with less power and better defense but will take some time at the major league level to get there.
  13. People who have visited Israel recently also. For good reasons or not, not one of my rather normie non-evangelical liberal friends who has been to Israel over the last decade or more didn't come back deeply disturbed by how Israel forces West Bankers to live. The trip tends to puncture their long held default idea of Israel as a liberal democracy. I'm sure the Evangelical side probably run through different tour programs, but it is what it is.
  14. We come If you come in from the West, I like to take 94 to Livernois, South down to Mich Ave, East to Cass turn north, cross Grand River and all the lots on the West side of Woodward are right there. Also an easy exit going back the same way as you stay out of the ramp traffic near the stadium. Haven't been down this year yet but I think those also were $20-30 as of last season.
  15. Today
  16. I'm not sure what you mean, that Gibson might not be good next season? Obviously that's always a risk with goalies, he's probably still easier to predict than two rookies. My point in mentioning he was good this year is that some might want to hope for that again but I immediately said I want to trade him. My point in mentioning the Habs goalies was that it can work in your favor, not saying it is guaranteed though. I'm struggling to parse out your point I guess lol Edit: Oh god I think I'm being big dumb and you mean what the rookies would show next season wouldn't predict the future maybe? I'm overtired! If so then I'm not sure anyone would argue that goalies are stable season to season, still gives you more informed info than not playing them in the NHL I would imagine? Maybe I need to eat some lunch to jog my brain haha
  17. Tony Brothers is the crew chief tonight. Pistons are 4-3 this season in games Brothers has reffed.
  18. NHL goalie is so random that it’s almost impossible to predict future success. Other than a few exceptions, there’s very little rhyme or reason to it. Even a season or two in the league whether good or bad doesn’t mean that much in what a most guys do from one season to the next.
  19. Interesting site with a bunch of draft info. The mock is a bit goofy with Boozer going #1. But there are a lot of metrics, stats, measurements, etc. https://draftballr.com/
  20. We always have hopes for any player we see, even Gage Workman. When it comes to some level of expectation, I think of Max Clark as a universally-regarded position-player top prospect with no history of injuries, so I do expect positive contribution out of him. Is that a guarantee? No, but I don’t think it’s a crapshoot, either. I think the chances we get something out of Max are far higher than the chances we get nothing out of him. Will he be an 8-win superstar? That’s rare, but it’s within a reasonable range of outcomes for him specifically. A 5-win All-Star? I think that’s fairly probable at some point, if not perennially. Will he be a consistent 2-win everyday guy? I think he should be at least that, although I’d be disappointed if that’s where he topped out. Will he be a complete sub-replacement bust? I think the chances of that are very low, and I would be shocked if stayed healthy, played as hard as he could and up to his capabilities, and he were to crap out like that. I think something dramatic would have to happen, like a terrible freak injury, a series of Parker Meadows injuries, or even a serious diagnosed illness, for us to get nothing out of him. That pretty much sums up how I view Max Clark, which is very different from how I view Reese Olsen or Jackson Jobe.
  21. I know he was good last year, but if it were me I'd try to trade Gibson with some salary retention and run with Cossa and Postava. It is risky but it can pay off. Habs are running Dobes and Fowler in the playoffs, might as well see what we got. I do think Cossa still has decent trade value if that's the route they go.
  22. I am the same. Fortunately, until Cleveland can win a road game in the playoffs, they are the decided underdog to win this series.
  23. Who starts if Robinson can't go tonight? I would say LeVert, but he is also listed as questionable. Probably Jenkins.
  24. Doesn't it seem like Mize usually has a pretty short leash? If Hinch is gonna pull him after 5 innings anyway, they may as well be innings here. I wish Flaherty had a short leash, or removed from the starting rotation. Try Drew Anderson....could it really be much worse? 🤫🤫
  25. All in all, a pretty accurate roster assessment. I'm patient and I always wish for the best for these guys, but the truth reveals itself over time - hard ceiling on a lot of the guys. I know this is a bad stretch, and a lot of team go thru this, but many of the shortcomings are recurring themes. Oh, they might have some good stretches, but this is a limited bunch.
  26. Come on now guys, we don't want to hurt his feelings. We have to make sure he keeps his confidence.
  27. I think Charlie Morton is still available.
