  2. 26-27: 58M 27-28: 62M 28-29 67M (Player Option) Paul George also has two more years at around 50M. Combined that about 70% of the cap. The also don't own their first round picks in 2 of the next 3 years (or something like that). Sorry, Philly. You're gonna be bad for a while.
  3. Or maybe Hinch was only using him in the 9th when he was throwing well or when there was a good match up. So, maybe he did do slightly better in the 9th, but was it the chicken or the egg?
  4. Cy Young Paddack tomorrow. 7 Ip 0 runs 1 bb 10 punchouts.
  5. Huh. https://www.newsweek.com/list-dead-or-missing-scientists-suspicious-michael-david-hicks-11805585
  6. So...when does the Lions training camp open? 🫩🫩
  7. Well, I don’t have the energy to blame the team. I blame myself for investing so much of my personal happiness in something as ephemeral as a sporting event or team. Yes perhaps I’ve been wrong to blindly follow the socially constructed manias about sports to which I was exposed as a child. Maybe I should test these manias analytically, through experimentation and a “scientific method.” Maybe this scientific method could be extended to other fields of learning: the natural sciences, art, architecture, navigation. Perhaps I could lead the way to a new age, an age of rebirth, a Renaissance! Naaaaaahhh!
  8. 4-9 Yikes. Good thing a homestead and Paddock on the mound for Miami awaits them.
  9. The Tigers are probably the worst team in the majors right now.
  10. ♫ Whoa Whoa Whoa Whoa They Blow You don't have to take it from me Whoa Whoa Whoa Whoa They Blow And most posters here would agree ♫
  11. He needs the game on the actual line? IDK, but i thought we saw this same thing in previous years, I never knew his splits didn't show it. I guess maybe a few multiple run 9th innings made it appear the same as 7th and 8th inning failures of only giving up a single run or two?
  12. Today
  13. Why would a pitcher only be able to pitch the 9th? That makes no sense. I could see when he had the closer role, he might let up in a non-save situation. But he's not the closer now, so what is your explanation?
  14. He was holding his Left arm in completely immobile also.
  15. I would love to see 77 get more involved offensively...
  16. Vest fastball was sitting at 93. What the heck is that?
  17. or perhaps she did
  18. 8th inning Will Vest? Huh...I guess we need to see him keep failing so the stat guys can't say his splits show he's not just good in the 9th inning.
  19. Vecenie didn't rank him in his latest mock, thinking he might be better off returning to college. I wonder if he has a late 1st guarantee.
  20. Can someone talk me off the Aaron Gibson/Mekhi Becton ledge with Kaydn Proctor? I know they are different people, on different teams, playing for far different coaches and regimes. But every time I see him and read scouting reports about him I get Gibson flashbacks. For a more modern comparison, I worry he'll be another Mekhi Becton. The guy's playing weight is 355lbs, which is similar to Becton's playing weight. Compare that to Blake Miller at around 315lbs or Caleb Lomu at around 312lbs. I worry that the weight will only become a bigger issue as he gets older and it gets harder to maintain a lower weight. I worry about how his body will hold up, against NFL players, trying to play at that weight. With a guy like Becton you've seen the injuries take a toll on his body. In the case of Gibson, he ballooned to nearly 400lbs and became significantly more immobile as a lineman. My other concern is does he even truly project as a tackle given his size and playing style. He seems like more of a hybrid or just a straight up guard prospect to me. But I'm no Hank Fraley expert here. What's the reasoning for wanting Proctor over a Blake Miller or Caleb Lomu if all three are availabel? Is Proctor that much better than either of them that its worth the gamble? Am I simply making too much of the weight issue.
