  2. https://www.espn.com/college-football/story/_/id/48580072/ex-michigan-staffer-calls-relationship-moore-open-secret already setting up her lawsuit against michigan. "you didnt protect me from my decision to have a sexual relationship with my boss."
  3. i would never personally attack you, red. even when youre wrong. 😉
  4. Oh look DOJ is dropping their investigation of Powell. I guess our markets are free of government influence now.
  5. I like the pitching matchups in this series. Flaherty may be a question mark but he's going up against Brady Singer and his 5.32 ERA.
  6. You gotta figure the Lions will be pulling as much data out of Miller that can about him. I mean obviously they've already done their homework, but now that they've got an additional information source they better be using it.
  7. I am a bit disappointed that Rutledge went to the Texans... I mean, I know G isn't high on the list of needs, but how cool would it have been to have a Rutledge and a Ratledge as our starting guards??
  8. And how many minutes is tht and who else is on the court?
  9. You can shut down an elite post scorer if you pack the paint to shut him down. Duren is so far above Drummond in terms of work on defense nd passing ability...that said, Drummond's had a long NBA career and he's arguably the 4th or 5th best Pistons big in the last 50 years. (Lanier, Wallace, Laimbeer , Drummond and Duren).
  10. really like the Miller pick maybe TJ Parker, edge, Clemson, or Jacob Rodriguez, LB, Texas Tech will be there at 50 but Brad will probably be moving up (or down) anyway
  11. It was a hard decision for them because they really like Miller and his upside outweighed his lack of injuries. However the Lions believe that they can rectify the situation. My insiders tell me that the Lions have hired someone to take a crowbar to Miller's knee when he gets off the plane in Detroit.
  12. Because I feel personally attacked by this post, I'm gonna defend myself (even though I know this was mostly just meant as humor). The reality is that ALL GMs have ALWAYS mixed need and BPA. It's never a question of all NEED or all BPA, but rather how much does one vs. the other impact the decision. And even that's way to simple of a question. How big is the need? Like does a team literally have no one on the staff who could be expected to be an adequate starter or do they have someone who would be okay, but they'd really prefer to upgrade? Saying Holmes is a BPA guy isn't saying that he only drafts the BPA and never the need, just that the slider between NEED and BPA is well past half-way towards the BPA side. I consider BPA to be more important in Holmes determination than it likely is for most NFL GMs.
  13. Lions are gonna roll out with a 3-tackle base set this year.
  14. Today
  15. i got my picture taken with skeeter barnes once when he was manager of the lakeland tigers, circa 2000. sadly i have misplaced it
  16. Wonder if Thibedeoux will be on the move today. Would have to be a creative package money wise to make sense for Detroit
  17. I feel much more comfortable knowing that a dysfunctional organization like Miami got Proctor and we ended up with Blake Miller. I think long-term, Brad got the better player. Another note about about Blake Miller, he is one of the top 30 visits the Lions had. So once again, Brad drafts a player with an elite RAS score and a player he had previously met with in a top 30 visit.
  18. They’ll quit taking money when you quit taking money.
  19. a subsidized national airlines like all the other third rate powers? What's not to love. Change the name to Spirit of Trump and it will be the airline of choice for terrorists to attack.
  20. The rule governing batted balls lodging inside a player’s uniform is not explicitly covered in the Major League Rules document, but in the Major League Baseball Umpire Manual, which offers further interpretation of rules deemed not explicit enough to cover a given situation such as this. That was the case here. This play was covered in the umpire manual under Rules Interpretation #6, Ball Going Into Player’s Uniform: If a batted or thrown ball inadvertently goes inside a player or coach’s uni- form, lodges in the catcher’s face mask or paraphernalia, or is intentionally placed inside a player’s uniform (e.g., in a pants pocket), the umpire shall call “Time.” The umpire will, using common sense and fair play, place all runners in such a manner that, in the umpire’s judgment, will nullify the action of the ball going out of play. That being said, if the umpire determines that the player placed the ball in his uniform intentionally for the purpose of deceiving a base runner, the umpire will place all runners at least one base (or more if warranted, in the umpire’s judgment in order to nullify the action of the ball being put out of play) from the base they originally occupied. In no case may any outs be recorded on such play. For the purposes of stopping play and ruling the ball dead, it doesn’t matter whether the lodging of the ball within the uniform is intentional. The only way intention factors into this interpretation is the decision to move the runners up a base (lodging is intentional: yes; lodging is unintentional: umpire discretion).
  21. Pretty good stuff here. I really like what we're getting in Miller.
  22. Ending a Yordan Alvarez segment, Brian Kenny/MLB Now did a twitter poll on their show yesterday asking viewers who they thought the most underrated players in baseball today are, and the first two responses were Dingler.
  23. By winning close games and losing blowouts?
  24. Imagine what he’s going to be like when he gets his home run stroke.
