  1. Past hour
  2. I don't really understand the logic of leaving Harris and Robinson on an island against Harden three times in a row. I'm not comfortable counting on my two worst perimeter defenders to win me a ball game against one of their best offensive players. Not a fan of letting Cleveland dictate how things would go down. The Pistons just switched so easy and then sat there watching our guys struggle. We should be dictating how things go. Stop switching or better yet, with a guy like Harden who has shown to be careless with the ball, blitz him and double him right off the initial screen.
  3. Workman is raking in Toledo. Ops 1.000+
  4. Today
  5. I would like to think that Wallinder and Buium are set to make the jump but I haven’t heard anything that makes me think that is the case. ASP had his moments this year. He was not big enough or responsible enough in his own end but he will put on a bit more muscle and he will get smarter in his own end. But he has offensive skills that the team needs. I think he should be in the NHL next year. Faulk will eat up some of his minutes and allow the team to shelter him a bit.
  6. It was a nasty and dirty hit. I worried at the time that it might be worse than it looked. I think I read that his mid-season injury was a hip but I hope he doesn’t have disc damage.
  7. The only positive take away tonight was that Madden saved the BP for the next few days, if they can hit enough to take advantage.
  8. And McGonigle is coming back down to earth as of late. And is there a least impressive .300 hitter in the league than Riley Greene (well, maybe Colt Keith)?
  9. No pixie dust this season for McKinstry or Jones, Javy and Torres down, Keith in some weird place, nothing from Jake, neither Torkelson nor Green have been consistent. They are what they are, which right now ain't much. It's been Kevin and the eight dwarves.
  10. Yes. They never say anything other than surgery was a success even if the pitcher can never raise his arm above his head ever again.
  11. After Wout won, the interviewer said it was impressive how he’s never given up. And he said “actually that’s wrong because I’ve given up many times, but I get up the next morning and I start looking to the future and I start training again and start healing from my injuries and I get going again.” I’m paraphrasing of course, but that’s the gist of it what he said, but honestly, I think that’s what the Tigers are going to do because they’re professionals even though they’re going through a rough stretch. GO TIGERS!
  12. The problem is the offense has weeks where they just don't do much. Doesn't matter how many of their pitchers are hurt, they just can't hit. I was hoping for a 3rd baseman or outfield bat, but instead got a 43 year old washed up relic just waiting to go on the IL and a decent but massively overpaid ground ball pitcher with the worst infield defense in the league.
  13. No, in fact IIRC - they kept that fact that there had been complications in Bonderman's outlet surgery under wraps for years.
  14. I'm sure surgery went well but I have never read a report like, "surgery was a failure and the pitcher will probably end his career now...."
  15. Without trying to, I completely forgot about this game because I got caught up in following the entire five hours replay of the Paris-Roubaix race on Peacock, where my boy Wout van Aert defeated Pogacar. When it first aired, I slept in late and caught only the last three minutes, so watching the entire race was incredible. It’s a drag to lose this game, but I’m not surprised we did. It’s a shame how these guys can’t figure out how to score runs. This is turning out to be a disappointing season so far. Heck.
  16. Strike one to McKinstry was also ball -.....😡
  17. Non competitive AB by Torkelson there.
  18. Hard for me to feel bad for fans of a team that’s 26-13.
  19. Madden out for a 6th inning. If he doesn't give up a run he will have pitched a quality start in relief. EDIT: and there it is, 6 IP / 3 ER.
  20. Matt chases two ball 4 fours to strike out.
