  1. Past hour
  2. Exactly what I mean.
  3. They could have doubled-down on DE and took Young and Moore lol. Cashius Howell was also taken in that range and he's the DE I wanted the most. I don't think Howell was likely on their board given that he doesn't set the edge much and isn't the strongest run defender. Jacob Rodriguez is a Dan Campbell player through and through and would have made a lot of sense for them.
  4. I’m always envious of grocery stores I go to in just about every other city. It doesn’t matter where I go—Michigan, Wisconsin, Alabama, Idaho, you name it—they are always bigger, brighter, cleaner, better-stocked, and more orderly than ours in the city are. They’re cramped like 1980s, and they’re generally dirty, like dirt caked onto the floor kind of thing, with routinely under-stocked shelves with big holes where products are supposed to be. Even when I go in the afternoon, there are still palates in aisles waiting to be unloaded, with no one around in sight. And it’s not just Krogeriano’s, which is bad enough … it’s Jewel, it’s Aldi, it’s Pete’s, it’s Fresh Market, it’s Cermak, it’s all of them. I love this city I’m in, but the grocery store vibe here is one real downside to it.
  5. I can no longer abide any discussion of how Christians need Israel to exist to bring Jesus back.
  6. Wemby didn't measure. It was just the last year or two where they changed the rules that you must participate in the measurements if you want to be drafted.
  7. Victory Note?
  8. TBF, it’s hard to exactly nail the dialogue of a whole other bygone era when you don’t live during the era. TB even more F, you don’t have to nail it exactly—you have only to make it seem to the modern audience that you have.
  9. facts not in evidence on this one. but yes, I absolutely will grant you that the kind of atrocities committed by Hamas are beyond the pale (btw they are all the exact same ones committed in at the turn of the century in the Turkish nationalist frenzy against the Armenians that I heard about from 1st hand eye-witnesses even as a child.. so you have no surprises for me on that front.).There are some uniquely grotesque and evil ideologies/mindsets that come out the ME that are absolutely hard to fathom. I will even grant you the old saw about "two wrongs don't make a right" goes pretty much out the window in war. But what I will stand on is that States with more power have more responsibility and Israel is trying hard to fail on that score. The attitude that populations are grass that needs to be periodically 'mowed' with high explosive in perpetuity is a pretty terrible mindset also.
  10. that's not "colonizing" anything. i agree that israeli actions in expanding its settlements is unhelpful and likely illegal. israel is not without blame for its actions. now, shall we discuss hamas and hezbollah's actions? iran's actions and rhetoric?
  11. I agree. These people were screaming genocide before Israel even responded. It was a coordinated op.
  12. Dignity. Always, dignity.
  13. I agree is not genocide, there is a reasonable case to made it has crossed the line into war crimes though - a situation Trump seems intent on having America follow them into in Iran.
  14. Not even talking about Gaza - they are and have been regularly dispossessing people and property on the West Bank without recourse.
  15. Israel responding to being attacked is not a genocide. It’s been 2.5 years now and Gaza still exists. Israel isn’t that good at doing a genocide. This is a right wing op. Why did the protests largely stop when Trump took over? Trump has been worse for Gaza but they still follow Harris around protesting her instead.
  16. israel is not a "colonizer" state. the situation in gaza is infinitely complicated by all the actors directly involved and those tangentially involved. israel lives next door to multiple states who base their entire existence upon israel's destruction. its in their founding documents, for god's sake. THAT is the underlying issue. the inability of "the palestinians" (really, the leadership of certain ethnic groups in the levant and iran's proxies) to move on and stop treating their people as human martyrs to the cause of killing jews. that doesnt excuse israel for certain actions and things theyve done during the war, but it does set a certain tone for how it is forced to deal with its neighbors. the naiivety of many on the american left when it comes to hamas and iran reminds me of their naiivety surrounding their embrace of communism in the 50s and 60s. anything that is anti-western is good. again, people being horrified by israeli tactics is understandable and not "anti-semitic".
  17. Well, people have very short memories. Trump mishandled Covid and destroyed the worldwide economy. And then he blamed Joe Biden and people re-elected the convicted felon pedophile. And now look at what he's done...so yeah, 1 million dead American from covid all have loved ones who have a very good reason for hating the racist pig. He shouldn't be in the White House getting rich from the presidency, he should be in prison.
  18. If they go out, we will probably find out something is wrong with Duren - but that's still no excuse for leaving him out there if he is compromised when Reid seems better able to hold his own.
  19. Today
  20. Cleveland us 6-0 at home in the playoffs. And 0-5 on the road. Detroit needs to win game 5.
  21. My grandfather, who came to this country in flight from genocide, would always get impatient at his fellow emigres when they would talk old homeland grievances, he would say "You are an American now. You came here to leave all that behind!" When the old world grievances of emigres become issues in US politics it never helps America, whether it's Cuba, Israel, Palestine, Iraq, whatever.
  22. There are no good guys and I refuse to say "yeah but....." when criticizing one or the other. I have many friends, people I could text right now and get a response, who have had families either killed or houses destroyed in Lebanon by Israel.
  23. He’s been doing this for years. It’s him. He’s just becoming even more unhinged.
  24. I suppose anything is possible in that asylum, but he is so mercurial and fit to rages at people that I have to doubt anyone would risk posting anything in his name without on the spot approval. Plus the contradictions post to post? An aide would be playing with fire doing that.
  25. Except that that is exactly what Israel is doing today in the West Bank. The State of Israel has bought and paid for the critique they are getting. Having sympathy with anyone is dubious when there are no good guys. 🫤
  26. The Michigan senate race is all about who took money from the dirty Jews.
