Yeah, that's a good point. I get the injury thing. I guess I would think a dangling chain would be more suspect to catching on something. I work in a manufacturing facility and no jewelry is allowed to be worn on the floor to reduce risk of injury and product compromise. -

That's funny. I think I might be too time conscious and I have no desire to wear a watch. I have a phone on me. Someone came into my work office once and asked where my clock was. I pointed to my watch, my desk phone, and my computer. I'm not one for jewelry either. If someone else wants to, have at it. As for as ballplayers, as long as it isn't impeding their performance, why should I care? -
I guess you have a point. I just can't wrap my head around the fact that he would allow anyone to post something under his name without his approval first. He just seems too much like a control freak to allow that. But...who knows?

It’s a real post, so Filipowski is not lying or spewing disinformation here. Beyond that, it doesn’t matter whether Trump types out the words himself, whether he dictates it to somebody, or whether somebody posts it on his behalf without his even knowing it. As long as it comes out under his name, they are his words and his ideas. He is responsible for the post. He owns it, lock stock. I will say this, though: if anyone can get away with the idea that someone who works for him did a rogue post and the named person on the account didn’t know about it and shouldn’t be held responsible for it, it’s Trump.

some guys will put their wedding ring on a chain when they're playing, because it is uncomfortable (and can actually lead to injury) to wear a ring inside a glove. i don't know if that is finnegan's thing but it is a possible reason for what you saw -
I just can't imagine he has the time or desire to even bother with it other than reading it and smirking about it. I think that he selected a person who is loyal to him and can write controversial stuff that sounds like it could be him. Regardless of whether or not it's actually him though, he has to own whatever is said in those posts.

I wear a watch because I am very time conscious and I find it useful. I get why you wouldn't want to wear one. I would never wear any jewely. I think it would be really annoying to wear anything like that and it is has no useful purpose for me personally. -
If Peck continues to hit you could see Peck at SS and McG moved to 3rd. I think the organizational plan is for Ranier at SS and McG moved to 2B or 3rd wherever most needed.

I don't know the answer. I'm an oddball and can't stand anything like that on me. Never worn a necklace, ring (with the exception of a wedding band for a few hours), watch, bracelet, nothing.....I just can't stand anything on me. -

Yup. We just dont know if Trump dictates what to write or approves of whatever has been written but I just dont think he would allow somebody to write something and post it without his approval. But I dont see him typing those words out, just too concise.

3rd base has been a Tiger weakness for years. We had Inge, played great defense but he's the all time leader in Tiger strikeouts. But his bat still played well enough to be a part of several playoff teams. And Candelario, who hit a boatload of doubles one season but was never good enough to build around. If one of our future prospects can play ML SS, I could see Kevin moving to 3rd. Or one of the prospects playing 3rd and Kevin full time SS. Either way, he appears pretty good on defense. His throws, whether at 3rd or SS, appear extremely accurate.

I had a random thought when Finnegan was on the mound. I noticed he had one chain with a ring on it. OK, a couple of random thoughts. First, what was the ring for? But then I wondered about when the first chain was worn, when did it become more mainstream than not? -

When has lying not been the political tool of the day? I strongly agree that men get away with lying much more easily. When they do it, it is considered crafty and slick. When a woman does it, she is a bad person.

Good chance the Wings won't mathematically survive past this weekend, perhaps not even past today. The Wings have the 9th best record in the East but passing 8th Philadelphia doesn't get them in. Because they need to finish in the Atlantic's top 5, passing either Boston or Ottawa. The Wings' tragic number with Boston is 2 points, with each team having 3 games left to play. So even if the Wings were to win out to get to 97 points, the Bruins' 96 points currently means they'd just need 2 points to reach 98 and eliminate the Wings. The Wings will win the tiebreaker with Boston if they both finish at 97, provided at least one of the Wings' wins in their 3-0 finish is in regulation. Boston's early game today hosting Tampa should be over by the time the Wings take the ice at 5pm hosting New Jersey, so if Boston beats the Bolts they'll already be out of the picture for the Wings. After today, Boston finishes at Columbus on Sunday and hosting New Jersey Tuesday. The Wings' tragic number with Ottawa is 3 points, with each team having 3 games left to play. So even if the Wings were to win out to get to 97 points, the Sens' 96 points currently means they'd just need 3 points to reach 97 and eliminate the Wings. The Sens will win any tiebreaker over Detroit. Ottawa's early game today at NYI should be over by the time the Wings take the ice at 5pm hosting New Jersey, so if Ottawa wins today in regulation the Wings would be eliminated with a loss. After today, Ottawa finishes at New Jersey on Sunday and hosting Toronto on Wednesday. The only way the Wings are still alive going into Game 81 in Tampa on Monday is if the Wings beat New Jersey today and either Boston picks up no more than 1 point in its 2 games this weekend or Ottawa picks up no more than 2 points in its 2 games this weekend.

Given that lying is the political tool de jure now-a-days, I try not jump to conclusions about any of this stuff. I believe two things are both true: 1) men have gotten away with this stuff in the main for a long time, 2) there is no XX chromosome linked truth gene either.

I didn't personally say he couldn't stay at short. I was repeating what I have seen from scouting reports regarding "questions about his defense". I think it is his range that is in question more than his arm though. In my very amateur view, He is not Mark Belanger, but I have not seen any glaring weaknesses in his game which should force him to move off the position right now.

Neat! I went back on clicked on all the past Hobey Baker winners. Like I said, I recognized about half. And that's about the proportion that had meaningful NHL careers. Now and then I'd come across a winner who played a few partial seasons in the NHL but whose name didn't really ring a bell. Fine. But then ...Tony Hrkac. I swear I've never heard this name in my life. Did he grow up in the same town as Kent Hrbek? So I click on his name and, hang on, 758 NHL GP in 17 NHL seasons between 1987-2003, for 9 different NHL teams! Even played in the NHL playoffs for 4 different teams. And I've never heard of him?! How is that possible, lol.

Katie Porter is NIMBY. That’s the last thing California needs. It was also reported that she doesn’t treat her staff well. She has shown a temper. She was asked a question when running for senate that every candidate was asked and she got mad and walked off. She’s also a leftist that never accomplished anything but has a whiteboard.

I'll say one thing, if he's going to have success against LHP, the stance change should have moved him in that direction. He's looing so quick now that he's giving himself more time to see the LH breaking ball. Of course still small SS on the new stance but so far so good.
