Ian Anderson did have a no hitter but that was a bit deceiving. His velo was down, he wasn't getting swings and misses and he was routinely getting to 3 ball counts. I think it was the smart play to remove him cause he looked like he was on the brink of falling apart.

Can't wait for Kentucky to beat them in the Something Bowl.

Harbaugh should be USC'd and fired when they land the plane. I know they're taking a long, dreary, rainy, grey bus ride home, but they should put Harbaugh on a plane to Chicago just so he can return and they can fire him on the tarmac.

Huge long term contracts would be forbidden if it was my $$$. There are so many options to put a team together why commit 10 years. Lindor was average this year and they still have 300 mil + on the books. Gerritt Cole slumped and now he as 36 mil/year for the next 7 years ? It can work..Trout..Max..but even then injuries take a toll. Can any human really stay motivated year round with 300 million in your pocket ? That takes a very disciplined human being.

I'm not sure there is ever a FA out there really worth signing for more than 5 yrs. The out year risks on guys old enough to have reached FA are too extreme for my blood. Even Lindor, who looked more a slam dunk last year than I think any of these guys do this year, has to return the lowest full season WAR of his career!

If Baez plays to his career averages, he would be OK. His strikeouts are so extreme though, I could see him falling off a cliff pretty quickly. It's mostly a hunch.

You can take political solace in those numbers if you like, but the difference between FLAs numbers and MIs numbers is that MIs were run up mostly before we had tools to keep it down, FLA ran theirs up mostly after they had the chance to do better.

ummm...you just answered your own question with players and hookers. that's exactly what they do. the nil stuff gave michigan a legit way to funnel money to these kids through "legit" means and use their money cannon but they got all high and mighty on that and fucked it up too.

that's an unrealistic standard for what michigan thinks of itself. unless the university makes a decision to get in the gutter, they will not be ohio state. until they agree to have zero academic standards for transfers, they will not be this year's michigan state. that said, the best thing that could happen to michigan is that the playoff gets expanded. more teams in means recruits will go to other schools outside the big 4 or 5.

Call me a sheep but I don’t see wearing a mask indoors as a “restriction”. If that’s what is required going forward so be it. I am fine with it. A lot of my colleagues in Europe are back in the office part time. a big way our nation could improve remains testing. You should be able to know pretty quickly if you have it. By that I mean less than 24 hours. That way at any sign of sniffles or cough you can check. By the time someone figures they should get tested they may have spread it to dozens of others.

80% of denmark is fully vaccinated and cases are increasing. "cases" will continue to happen because its an infectious disease. of those cases in denmark, 99.8% of them are mild. the point being, just counting "cases" isnt a great measure anymore, imo. continue to work to vaccinate and remediate and continue to lower the risk of the virus to people who do get it. the fact that "cases" are increasing isnt a reason for real alarm, imo.

I would think Christopher Walken as the scarecrow could be fun. So.....I'm made of STRAW, and yet.....a MAN. I can talk, but don't have....a brain....
