  2. Watson probably leaned it from him. The Dabo special massage. Remember it’s technically not cheating.

  3. LOL - Toledo probably might have more of next year's Tiger roster playing tonight than will be on the field in Pittsburgh!

  4. Also invest in a good maple end grain cutting board. Keep a plastic one around for raw meat.

  5. because they get banged around which kills the nice edge you put on them with a diamond steel. Steel, cut, rinse, put back in the block. The only surfaces I want my knives to see are the block and the cutting board. We do have serrated utility sort of knives that don't get that treatment, but the good forged chopping and slicing knives do.

  7. Russia is stealing tons of Ukrainian grain. And trying to pass it of as their own (and denying that they stole anything... Hah!!!)

  9. There are these: https://observers.france24.com/en/europe/20220506-russian-attacks-on-farms-and-silos-deliberately-trying-to-destroy-the-ukrainian-economy https://www.cnn.com/2022/05/05/europe/russia-ukraine-grain-theft-cmd-intl/index.html And there's also this, from just a couple hours ago: https://www.reuters.com/world/europe/russian-attack-destroys-warehouses-major-ukrainian-commodity-terminal-governor-2022-06-07/ But I find this one the most interesting: https://www.reuters.com/world/europe/putin-russia-ready-facilitate-unfettered-grains-supply-ukraine-2022-05-30/ Basically because Russia is positioning itself in this story to be the hero by saving the world's food economy from the attempt by [Biden/Democrats/socialists/communists/Antifa/BLM/etc.] to destroy it, or whatever.

  10. Went to a Yankees - Blue Jays game in 2002ish in Toronto. Kids went down to Yankees bullpen pregame and both came back with a Roger Clemens autograph. To say I was shocked is an understatement. Went from hating the guy to rooting for him from then on.

  11. You can go to a gun range and shoot a real gun at a human shaped target but shooting people in a video game is too violent and causes mass shotings?

  12. Yeah, I definitely do not want to trade this guy for prospects just yet.

  13. I was at the Roger Clemens-Kerry Wood game when Clemens was going for his 300th win. I could've sold my tickets for $400 the pair. I wasn't about to miss a legend getting his 300th win, though. That was the Hee-Seop Choi ambulance game. He was never the same again. https://sabr.org/gamesproj/game/june-7-2003-hee-seop-chois-injury-overshadows-wood-clemens-pitching-duel-at-wrigley/

  15. I just wanted to make sure the opposing view was represented here. The OT definately has things I do not understand or pretend to. But I do understand this: Jesus was asked, which commandment is most important and Jesus replied "Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength. The second is this - Love your neighbor as yourself. There is no commandment greater than these.” I am far from a good Christian but I do try every day to be a better person. All walks of life have been welcomed into my home and cared for, always will be (except Ohio State fans).

  16. Jesus never said anything about homosexuality or LGBTQ (or whatever the acronym is now). I don't think people were even aware of different sexual identities back then. Jesus preached kindness and treating all people with respect. You can argue about whether sexual identity should be taught in school and at what age, but it's not Christian to marginalize people who are different from you. If Jason Adam thinks he is superior to other people based on his identity that makles him a bigot.

  17. Believe it or not, Willi has now been in the system five years, including three pre-Hinch, during which he suffered at the hands of development personnel who weren’t knowledgable enough to even develop a complex about how inadequate at development they were. Willi might possibly be too far gone to fix well enough to be a major league regular, but he’s also probably a year too young to completely give up on the idea. Best option I can think of is, once the other outfielders come back, give Willi the rest of the year at Toledo (or Erie!) for an extensive development regimen that includes outfield reps—one last gasp to turn him around. If he doesn’t show significant enough improvement a year from today, DFA him.

  18. I don't disagree. They are good at pretending to be interested in their constituents, but they are primarily interested in themselves. Another thing they are good at is taking credit for good things that happen (that have little or nothing to do with them) while blaming others for bad things that happen. Your best hope is that their self interests will help you in some indirect way.
