Reread that and underline the parts "Bauer said", as I stated previously, her basic problem was degree of consent and no corroborating witnesses. The basic facts of Bauer's behavior are beyond dispute, whether or not the woman was motivated by financial gain, or provided misleading testimony.

Contraception has always been a target... it's only just now becoming okay for them to say it out loud (see posts from The Heritage Foundation and comments from the past couple of days). Suddenly people are claiming to be concerned about all of the side effects, as if they care about the health and well-being of women. I'm pretty sure they want to get rid of voting rights for women, too-I've already seen rumblings in extremist groups.

There's multiple accusers, and one still pending. My understanding from my glance through things yesterday is that the Bauer camp has tried to keep MLB's investigation under wraps. I do suspect whatever MLB uncovered was damning enough to make the severe suspension hold and scare all 30 teams away from him. I also suspect Dan has seen what is in that report, or has been made aware by people in the know what was in it. Meanwhile, we are left wading through muddy waters from partial media, making it tough to find anything close to the truth. Asking the fan to read up when the exact information Dan put out there really isn't out in the public isn't exactly fair, but the way the caller kept going toward the end, you could tell he only ate up the Bauer camp's story using terms like "blackballed." It's tough to separate fact from spin these days, very tough.

The fact of her injuries is not in dispute. Who caused the injuries is not in dispute. The fact that Bauer gets off on violent acts towards women is not in dispute. The fact that she had some degree of consent made it difficult for her to win in a situation where there were no other witnesses. She did win a fairly large settlement.

Seriously. Who cares what issue was higher on the priority list or who cares about "intentions" or whatnot, ultimately it's the results that we all have to live with. And it's the results upon which Trump should (and ultimately will) be judged on this.

Dan needs to read up on the Bauer issue. During discovery they got texts from his accuser's phone that she sent to her friend explicitly laying out her plan to extort him. Videos of her next to him while he slept laughing about it. Bauer is a known world-class D-bag, and if that's a deal breaker, cool. But seeing Dan do MLB PR like this is really disappointing.

I'm not sure now is the time that is the test for how much the team is willing to spend - the test comes if the young core start having success and the team either has to pay to tie them up or face letting them walk. You can argue they shouldn't be committing much in the way of long term dollars on FA (ie.typical older) players when they have large payroll liabilities looming before FA contracts proffered today would be off the books.

In this case I don't think so... they are trying to figure out what they are going to say and once they get it in their head then they resume. The beginning parts are pretty slow as if they are thinking about it. It could be a symptom of the patriarchy.... women have to talk faster before they get cut off by a man in the room. So that just gets passed down as how you normally talk. My father in law would talk really fast and he said it was because he was the youngest of 10 and had to do that in order to be listened to.

Unrelated to above, I feel like I'm moving towards a lot of you folks in regards to how I handle Trump in my head. I find myself not posting as much as frankly, even if I disagree with something, I don't care enough to address it. Like did Fani Willis do something corrupt and illegal - I mean, obviously, but who really cares right now. Let's get back to the Trump case, GA can deal with her after, if at all, I don't care. Or Ukraine, it's a disaster and the Ukrainian forces aren't getting enough artillery or other bull**** lines we're hearing in MSM because we haven't given them more money is bull****, but again, i'm apathetic now. Give them some more, let them deplete Russia some more. Trump truly is making me apathetic to everything. I feel like even if we win (by not electing Trump next term), the damage is still too much on the global stage....ugh, just hate this/him.
