  1. Yeah, but you're crazy, so I'm not sure it counts.
  2. My guess is that the numerals say games within a run or two favor the Tigers, middle games might be 50/50, and blow outs go to the opposition. That being said, while the "playing chess" trope seems silly at times, Hinch & company are winning the toss ups.
  3. Indeed. But go back to Riley's triple. What the heck was Roberts thinking? He wasn't going to get Riley at 2nd. He completely misplayed that for no reason. All risk, no reward.
  4. Eric Haase’s game winner and interview were cooler than the other side of the pillow.
  5. I don’t think I could hit it.
  6. Anyone else notice the ump called for the pitch count to start while he himself wasn’t ready? Dude didn’t have his own face mask on.
  7. I think the camera at the wall there vets this out. Great play.
  8. Hat tip to Burger for the hat tip.
  9. It isn’t glaring on the h9me uniforms. It’s nice that the normal red font for Meijers has been replaced with navy to blend in with the jersey.
  10. Not ideal, but not time to panic either.
  11. True, and the league is, what, 65-70% right handed pitching? So that’s the heavier side of the platoon.
  12. Nah, I gots a good feeling about this. This is just a little suspense for some fun.
  13. Love it. He’s having a pretty good season. Striking out less, walking more, hitting the ball harder. He’s still only 24 years old, so there’s still room to grow in all aspects.
  14. Hey, dummy, shut up and let the games play out.
  15. I think Rogers is to be taken with a grain of salt. He’s a catcher for one, primarily a defense first catcher. Sure, he might have some pop, but I don’t think anyone considers him to much offense to begin with. And the other thing is his return to actual game action. He missed quite a bit of time as a catcher and as a hitter. I think that’s quite a bit to miss. Sure, he can remain part of the game planning while injured and working with pitchers from afar, but actively catching them is another thing. And then along those lines, how many different pitchers have the Tigers been through the past season plus? Maton is a bit of a victim of the BABIP pendulum so far. He is striking out worse than and walking better than league averages. But his BABIP is also under .200. Looks like he might be going opposite field and fly ball too much? I don’t know. Perhaps the approach is affecting the results.
  16. Don’t look know, but his slash lines are darn near identical to Baez’. Sure, there’s the discrepancy in playing time and defense. But I bet nobody would’ve guessed the similarity unless they saw the numerals. I was certainly surprised.
