  1. We just might find out about that in a few months.
  2. I heard on MLB radio during the last trading hour that of the 30 teams, all 29 teams not nicknamed Yankees have made a trade more recently than the Yankees. I damn near fell off of my bike when I heard that.
  3. So, Rodriguez is the best arm on the block now? And the Orioles and the Dodgers are still kicking around for SP? That's good, yes?
  4. CJ Nitkowski just made an interesting point. Lorenzen is at 106 IP, which is his highmark since his rookie season in 2015 (115 IP). So, that might interesting to watch going forward.
  5. Dombrowski wearing his goth outfit on trade deadline day.
  6. Lee hit that ball so hard, those children on the hill fell over when it landed.
  7. Had the Phillies been linked to Lorenzen or any pitchers? It seems like they kind'of came out'of nowhere to make a trade.
  8. Well aren't you the fun one around here....
  9. Beat you to it, first loser. 😁
  10. Scouting grades: Hit: 55 | Power: 50 | Run: 45 | Arm: 50 | Field: 50 | Overall: 50 Signed in June 2021 out of Taiwan for $570,000 at age 18, Lee didn’t waste any time in making a strong first impression. His nine-game debut in the Rookie-level Florida Complex League that summer, in addition to his instructs play that fall, had the Phillies thinking they might have an even better player than they thought when they signed him. He did nothing to dampen that excitement during a first full season in which he reached High-A, with only a broken hand slowing him down at all. The 5-foot-10 infielder has the chance to be a very good hitter, with a clean swing and an advanced approach at the plate. Lee is a baseball rat who loves to work on his hitting and makes a ton of contact, striking out in just over 19 percent of his 2022 plate appearances while walking 12.3 percent of the time. There’s power in that compact frame and he’s added 10 pounds of muscle to it, which should help him impact the ball even more moving forward. Lee’s instincts serve him well on the basepaths and defensively. He knows how to steal a base and runs the bases aggressively. He’s played three infield positions thus far and the Phillies plan to continue to have him do so, but he’s probably best suited for second base, with the upside of a big league regular at that spot. https://www.mlb.com/prospects/phillies/
  11. Just listen to the prospect hounds.
  12. Marliger.
  13. I forgot that was the middle of a plate appearance.
  14. I was glancing at the Oriole IF prospects on MLB pipeline last night. I just wanted to be prepared in case Scott Harris texted me.
  15. Go get someone in the meantime. How about Ha-Seong Kim?
  16. No blue bird in the corner?
  17. Edwin Jackson is not impressed by Rich Hill's resume of franchises.
  18. He was watching too many Carlos Guillen tapes.
  19. About as much chance as sending him to the Clippers because Kawhi is always hurt.
  20. Sure, the Tigers take that list in exchange of Rodriguez, Cisnero, and Shreve. We all good with this?
  21. That's true. Cabrera on the roster limits the depth chart and platooning ability. Miami was pretty happy with Cabrera in town. Don't they need a RHH PH?
  22. Don't they want Cisnero and Shreve, too?
  23. Perhaps, but Candelario had played some 1B along the way. Who plays 1B when Torkelson sits? Ibanez and Nevin have a pair of games each this season. That's it, that's the list.
  24. I had a Carolina Mudcats hat a long time about. Cream hat, black bill, with the red C and silver cat coming through it. I believe the merch store was called The Bait Shop.
  25. That's kind of what I am thinking. There was probably some hope for Malloy to take over at 3B when he was acquired with Keith somewhere later on down the line. But in theory, Candelario could have been he interim 3B for 2023, so ....
