This is the way I remember Thomas and Dumars. Generally it was Thomas’ show, but Dumars was adept at handling the point with Thomas off of it at times. And then with Johnson playing off of the ball when he was on the floor, it was Thomas/Dumars running things while Dumars/Thomas was on the bench. Its definitely a different game now, and the collection of Cunningham, Ivey, and Hayes is a different skill set individually and collectively than the Palace guards were. Hayes has progressed despite earlier frustrations with his draft selection and development. Cunningham and Hayes have shown potential. Can they find cohesiveness as a trio or maybe a quartet with a defensive minded veteran added into the mix?

It is amusing to me that I’ve seen/heard several mentions of the Phillies unlocking something with Soto. Sure, I’m no fan of Soto. And I think highly of Fetter. So I, probably biased. But if a team were likely capable of finding and unlocking something with a relief pitcher, it would seem strange to me that it wouldn’t be the Tigers with what Fetter has done with other relievers. It’s entirely possible Fetter & Soto aren’t a good combination, no question. But the odds seem unlikely in my worthless opinion.

Take it easy on him. He usually wears a helmet & mask. He’s not used to the standard cap. You know, that’s probably why he has that look on him. He probably wanted to take the photo in full gear and the photo crew didn’t oblige.

Pistons win. Hayes' return was clearly inspiring.

The rules are certainly in favor of more offense. But it also seems as though the realization has set in where defensive "effort" is waning, and why blame players/teams for wasting time on defense? Sure, guard the rim and the 3 line. Everywhere in between, allow the shot and (1) get the rebound or (2) get set on the other end for a quick layup or 3.

Wasn't it originally "officially" determined to be a back injury? I could be mistaken, but I thought I heard that was the ruling and then the Dolphins/NFL kind of tiptoed away from that prognosis over time.

When will that 18th game be introduced? Obviously the teams & players were in a bad spot last night. But the TV crews, particularly the studio crew who I thought were ready to just walk away at a few points. Booger McFarland said it best, just put some other programming on and cancel the game.
