  1. How about a go at the 2020 election conspiracy theorist wackos?
  2. What's telling are his save vs non save splits. I'm not a believer in bullpen roles. If a pitcher gets the ball, the role is to get outs. Soto allowed more baserunners in non save situations than in save situations. Why is that? Don't know. Don't care. Bottom line is that he walks too many guys and hasn't shown much improvement on that over the years. I want more effective pitchers on the roster.
  3. Remember when they had too many bigs on the depth chart?
  4. I don't know. He might fetch a snack size bag of Cheetos, but Cheetos are awful. No way he fetches a family size bag of Doritos.
  5. Oh, hold on now, Palacios pitched in 2 MLB games this season. I see what's going on here.
  6. I think this move lines up with Short as well. CastroW showed more competence in the OF than the IF, but that's not much of a bar to clear. Its not to say that I think he will be retained. Its a new regime, so more guesswork from a message board view. Maybe I'm just being lazy because Short and Palacios are both RHH IFs with reputations of defense.
  7. I guess the Baez to 2B rumors might have some legs after all. (sarcasm alert)
  8. He's certainly no Daz Cameron.
  9. That’s good stuff.
  10. There’s that option, too. You wonder what other teams think of him. You wonder what other teams think of the Tiger pitching in general. Is it some combo of coaching and smoke & mirrors? What about the injuries?
  11. You say creative solutions. I think the actual baseball term is horseshit ideas. I think the conventional thought is that he returns for a final season. But we don’t know about Scott Harris, so there’s that. And like I said before, he may not have the final say on Cabrera regardless of what he would like to do anyway.
  12. Yup. Make him earn his spot on the roster in Lakeland. The cost is sunk. Its simply can he play or not.
  13. This seems very reasonable. I've long been a critic of Jimenez, but I think he's earned another season.
  14. I disagree that he's not blocking anyone. He's actually blocking anyone else that can field a position and/or run the bases.
  15. He's probably been close on several occasions over the last 6 decades. She asked how old he was, and my response was "chronologically or mileage?".
  16. I also wonder about this.
  17. So, the kid's marching band is doing a combo halftime show with the opponent's marching band and the local college band. They are doing Crazy Train. So I asked the kid if she knew who the original artist was, and of course, kids don't know diddly pooh, so no, she doesn't know. So I started showing her some tame & recent photos of Ozzy, and I got amusement out of her facial expressions of the visuals that I found for her. "He's a grandfather?!"
  18. Uh...... let's take it one day at time, aight?
  19. Soto must'of tuned into the game at 8-1.
  20. Are you new here?
  21. Is everyone aware of leap year? Yes? OK, good.
  22. Illinois, Purdue, and Nebraska control their own destiny in the West. Michigan, Ohio State, and Penn State control their own destiny in the East. One group seems very unlike the other. Leaders and Legends probably would've worked out better than geography this season.
  23. Good stuff for Seattle. They eliminate the playoff drought, then advance to the ALDS with an historic come from behind victory. All of this, and they are still only guaranteed one home game. I bet those seat prices aren't expensive at all.
  24. The first "e" in "milestone" is silent when referring to Cabrera's contract extension. I remember that rule from Sister Mary Cichy's 3rd grade language arts class.
  25. Did Oklahoma get dressed and then forfeit on the field, or what exactly was that?
