Just supervising the goings on.

Concur, which is why I'd like to get back to a BcS type of ranking system to avoid these types of shenanigans. Although the crooks would be in charge of that, too, so where would it get us?

I may have missed it, but I didn't see the Red Sox bump the Rays from qualifying for the playoffs this season by virtue of a popularity contest. Hey, how about that? I think we might have stumbled upon something that MLB does better than NCAAF.
-
By that context, the Yankees and Red Sox should be included in every MLB postseason.
-
Why should that matter?

I want to know how he ranks these.

Punished? Or just rolled in as part of an objective evaluation like all other schedules should be?

I sure hope the OSU RB room is back at full strength by then. If OSU loses, they lose. But I just want it at full strength. If they aren’t good enough at full strength, so be it. If they lose but there are questionable circumstances, that ain’t no fun. Both teams, undefeated, full strength, ready to go on a weather neutral day. And some cold beers at my disposal. Anyone with me?

This season has the feel of Georgia at 1 and several teams trying to figure out who takes the other playoff spots. It doesn’t mean Georgia is unbeatable, but it would take some breaks to beat them.

I gotta be honest, I hate Brian Kelly so much I was rooting for Alabama to stop the two last night.

Never say never. We don’t know what will happen between now and the playoff teams are announced.

Houston removes Yuli Gurriel from the roster due to strained MCL.

How is Wembanyama going to end up with the Lakers? -
They should have had a safety on top of the 21. Replay failed there.

You’re right, it shouldn’t have been that close. Northwestern did a good job of controlling possession of the ball in the first half. The Ohio State passing game was a mix of bad play and weather. There were some catchable drops and Stroud didn’t look good. They tried some deep stuff which didn’t make any sense to me. The intermediate routes should have worked well, but again, there were drops and a few miscommunications. If they can’t get a healthy RB room, they’re going to have issues at some point. Today was an example of it as they couldn’t mix and match Williams with anyone else. Henderson and Hayden were both unavailable due to injury. Chambers was converted from RB to LB. They might want to give him some RB reps in practice. Heck, give the ball to Tuimoloau, that could be fun. Wow, Northwestern had the ball for over 36 minutes. I didn’t think it was that much.

Want to feel old? The 3 year old bat boy is now a 23 year old minor league baseball player.

I don’t know if I agree that the Twins wasted that money. The ALC was a winnable division. Maybe they misunderstood their chances or maybe they simply didn’t play up to reasonable expectations. If they thought Correa gave them a realistic shot at the playoffs last season, they ultimately acquired him to chase that possibility.

It’ll be interesting to see if the weather impacts Clemson at Notre Dame. The wind was a considerable factor for Ohio State at Northwestern. Not an ideal day for a shallow depth chart at RB for OSU.

I went to a Motor City Bowl with Bowling Green vs Northwestern many moons ago. The game was a lot of fun, it went down to the last minute or two.

Facebook and Twitter just illuminates that fact.

Yes, I like these charts & graphs later in the season. Its just such a small sample size right now. Golden State is 3-6 and Utah is 6-3 right now, but its tough to put much stock into it. -
Speaking of coaches and controversies, when is Popovich going to publicly speak about Primo?

I'm good with combined accomplishments as a player and coach/executive as qualifiers for enshrinement. Just a cheap snippet of his baseball career. 19 years as a player, he was an all star in 1981 and 1982. I would argue that his 1972, 1973, 1977, 1979, and 1980 seasons are darn close to, on par with, or better than his all star seasons. Alas, we have timing of the all star votes & nominations which don't necessarily reflect the entire season and team representation quotas and roster sizes working against him. On the flip side, 19 seasons is quite lengthy and doesn't really prop up his WARs, JAWS, etc into the neighborhood of LFs. So, he's got some rather pedestrian seasons on his resume. I don't know if this is a fair comparison, but Joe Torre strikes me as a bit of a comparison. Torre was the better player, but got in as a manager. Torres has a lengthier managerial career and more postseason success. But all of his success comes with only the Yankees, and in a time where there were fewer postseason bids.

We can all agree that between the Phillie Phanatic and Gritty, Philadelphia is by far the best pro sports mascot town in the world, yes? Because if you disagree, you are just flat wrong here and in all possible alternative universes.
