  1. I am not a fan of death metal at all, but holy hell that's amazing. I love that she did that.
  2. Beneficial to a team that appears to be loaded at certain positions in their system.
  3. Absolutely! Which is why I'm pretty forgiving for these kinds of movies. However to me there's a difference in suspending disbelief in something unnatural/supernatural (be it aliens, voodoo, or a super killer) vs things like police behavior or using tech. It also depends on the reality that is put forth in the movie. If you are largely showing the police as competent, yet stumped, you can't have one of the big reveals be that they completely overlooked obvious clues. If they were being shown as bumbling idiots, then that's a different story.
  4. I liked the POV changes. I thought that worked quite well. I won't get into too much else, since I don't want to post spoilers for people. But yes, what you mentioned was a big one.
  5. Watched "Weapons" on HBO last weekend. Liked it, but didn't love it. A couple of plot holes were simply too large to suspend disbelief for. Still, was a worthy watch.
  6. We both know this isn't true. That's Cory Snyder.
  7. If we are listing trades where it seems like the Tigers got the raw end of the deal, there better be a server expansion in the works.
  8. I love Casty. He's not a great player and certainly has his deficiencies (especially defensively), but I've always found him easy to root for. I don't want him back on the Tigers now, at this point in his career, but I hope he does well wherever he ends up (unless it's Cleveland).
  9. The year before he came to the Tigers, Maeda was 6-8 with 117 Ks in 104 IP and a 1.2 WAR. Last year with the Giants, Verlander was 4-11 with 137 Ks in 155 IP and 1.2 WAR.
  10. Bringing JV back holds virtually no appeal for me. To say he's a shell of his former self is still an overstatement. The only difference between him and the Maeda/Cobbs of the world is what he used to be for us.
  11. I'm conflicted because I don't think Skubal will sign anywhere prior to free agency, which points to trading him in the off season. On the other hand, our history with trading for prospects ranges from terrible to awful to laughable.
  12. "Who are guys I don't want to rely on as everyday players, for $100 Alex."
  13. What? You don't want to add another rung to this amazing ladder?
  14. With the way he was rushing/panicking, there's a really good chance he botches that throw to first anyway. I agree though that he committed to going home the moment he fumbled it. He may have realized at the last fraction of a second that Realmuto was pointing to first, which could explain why the throw home ended up so bad. He was rushing/panicking AND reconsidering.
  15. But in the regular season the Tigers scored 29 runs in 6 games vs Seattle. Regression to that mean is 4.8 runs. So if Skubal pitches to his mean against Seattle, they score 3 runs and the Tigers 4-5. Tigers win!
  16. Just asking, but why in your scenario are the Tigers reverting to the mean but the Mariners performance against Skubal this season is not?
  17. TBD = The Big Dumper Come on people.
  18. Toronto did nearly gag away the East to the Yankees by losing six of seven, before rebounding to win their last four games of the regular season.
  19. Newsflash. Tigers have trashier hitters.
  20. I don't know... I think I would rather get blown out than lose in a heartbreaker. They are both terrible outcomes, but to lose (for example) the way Toronto did last night would be excruciating.
  21. Based on radar, I could see a slight delay, but looks to be completely out of the picture by 5:00.
  22. Maybe Wenceel is playing RF, but Kerry is hitting as the RF. This plan works for me, because (despite what he did in the last game against Cleveland) Wenceel sucks.
  23. I'm a little surprised they flipped Flaherty and Mize. Does that mean they trust Mize more in a "must win" possible situation, or that they trust Jack more to get it to Mize with some breathing room?
  24. I'll go on record and say that I could not care less what the stadium is called. Sell the rights for as much as you can, and pour those resources right back into the team. I never say "I'm going to Comerica Park", it's "I'm going to the Tigers game", and that's not going to change (even if they called it Tiger Park, which they won't).
