  1. Snow blowers are a real pet peeve of mine (I know, different thread). A decent two-stage that doesn't clog is damn expensive, and you have no idea how often you will need it. I think I fired mine up twice this year (and since I'm a cheapskate, it's not a two-stage and clogs like crazy).
  2. Sloan has a lot of great songs. Most of my favorites are on Navy Blues. She Says What She Means, Iggy & Angus, Money City Maniacs, Chester The Molester. On other albums: The Good In Everyone, Underwhelmed, Coax Me, Snowsuit Sound. Underwhelmed is probably my overall favorite track of theirs.
  3. I'm pretty certain the issue is the phone app, because when I open it on my phone I have to reauthenticate to get to the streams. I don't even have to retype anything. It's just an annoying "use MLB logon" popup that I have to click through.
  4. The MLB app annoys me. I have Apple Carplay in my car, and I like to use it to stream games since I'm in a weird spot for traditional radio reception. Almost every time I first open it in Carplay it says "MLB subscription required" and no games are listed. I then have to open the app on my phone, click on audio and re-login. Then the games all show up on my Carplay screen. Needless to say, that is not a very safe way to utilize the the service... Also, it would be fantastic if on the Carplay screen with the games, it also showed the scores. When the Tigers aren't on, I'd likely check out another game if it looked like a good game. I can understand not wanting to put all the game info on the screen to keep people from always looking at the screen, but just the scores seems like it would be fine.
  5. Looks like all previous Amazing Race seasons will now only be on Paramount+. That stinks for us because we don't currently have that, and have been watching past seasons on Hulu as a family for a long time. We are just finishing up season 24 (All Star season with Cowboys and Globetrotters), so we still have a ways to go. We already have Netflix, Hulu, Apple, Amazon, HBO and Disney. I'm not sure I can justify adding yet another one. Unrelated, but I'm also going to have to make a decision on DirecTV. I've kept it for NFL Ticket and Bally Sports. With Ticket moving to Youtube, not much reason to keep it. Been a subscriber almost 25 years though!
  6. Indeed! It wasn't as cold as I expected to be, plus winning always adds a few degrees. If you watched the games, you would have seen Kerry Carpenter's walk off homer sail right through my son's hands and ending up bouncing right to the guys sitting in front of us (with me watching it all and doing nothing).
  7. I will be in attendance. They better win, for me to sit through that (twice). Unfortunately my track record (and the Tigers') does not bode well...
  8. Pro Football Network's Adam Beasley believes Geno Smith's new contract with the Seahawks makes QB Anthony Richardson an "ideal" first-round pick for Seattle. The Seahawks on Monday locked up Smith, 32, with a three-year extension after his stellar 2022 campaign, when he led the league in completion rate and threw 30 touchdowns to 11 interceptions. Beasley said short-term security at quarterback would make Seattle a leading candidate to take Richardson with the fifth pick of the 2023 NFL Draft. "That security at the most important position in pro sports allows the Seahawks to draft the guy they think will be the best quarterback in five years, not five months," Beasley said. "And given Richardson is both the most gifted and the rawest of this year’s class, the stage is set for the Seahawks to secure both their present and their future." Richardson told ESPN he had a good interview with the Seahawks at the NFL Combine, complimenting head coach Pete Carroll's energy. "We are totally connected to the quarterbacks that are coming out," Carroll said during the Combine. "This is a really huge opportunity for us. It’s a rare opportunity." How long Richardson would sit behind Smith is anyone's guess.
  9. I believe it was season three that was my favorite.
  10. Same. Watched both episodes last night, so now impatiently waiting for Sunday night. I don't much care for the look of the "clickers", but that's pretty nitpicky. I also didn't play the game (but was aware of its existence), so it may very well be that the design comes from the game. I've heard others say that it's pretty faithfully recreated a lot of other elements, so that's probably the case.
  11. Good news. I won $28 on a $10 bet on the Ohio State basketball game. I am now the best sports gambler in the world.
  12. I have $200 in free bets remaining, plus whatever I manage to win (HA!). Does the forum want to be my advisors? I prefer to bet on things I will actually be watching, so that means NFL playoffs. I also usually do $10 at a time, so I have 20-ish bets left.
  13. You just saved me $150 on my next renewal! Both my wife and I are hybrid.
  14. I haven't seen Yellowjackets or Cobra Kai, but that is a damn fine list.
  15. Netflix: Dead To Me (haven't watched the latest season yet, but enjoyed the previous two.) I think You Should Leave ("sketch" comedy and it's not for everyone. Very short episodes.) The Mole (recent reboot of the reality series) Hulu: Reservation Dogs is supposed to be good. Haven't watched it myself yet. The Old Man (Jeff Daniels is great in this.) What We Do In The Shadows Prime: Marvelous Mrs Maisel Reacher Jack Ryan Upload The Boys Invincible (animated and very violent, but excellent)
  16. A couple quick examples. 1. I noticed that every NFL playoff game had hit the over, so naturally I took the over for Cowboys/Bucs at 45.5. Final score 31-14 with four missed PATs and a missed 2pt conversion. 2. Joe Burrow to throw for over 225 yards and win. A slam dunk, right? No. 209 yards 3. Josh Allen to complete 25+ passes and win. Nope. 23. The only thing I've "won" was a free $5 NBA bet. I haven't watched an NBA game in over 20 years, but I took the Celtics (for no reason in particular) and won. LOL!
  17. I am thankful for the Fanduel "seed" money I received when Ohio went live on January 1. It has allowed me to realize (unsurprisingly) that I am a terrible sports gambler without actually losing any of my own money. The "free bets" expire at the end of January, which will mark the end of my sports betting career as well.
  18. We seem to collect kitchen gadgets, but they all get used fairly regularly. Crockpot, air fryer, quesadilla maker, panini press, waffle maker... The only one we don't use is the instant pot, which is still new in the box 3+ years later.
  19. How dare you besmirch waffle makers! Now china on the other hand...
