  1. If that's a shot at Annie Agar and her meetings, or at Brenden Clinton and his film sessions, I won't stand for it.
  2. I always feel the same way about the facepaint guys (or any elaborate outfit). Once the game goes downhill, you look and feel like an idiot.
  3. Speaking of citrus beers, Bell's Oberon Eclipse is delicious.
  4. I liked Casty when he was a Tiger, I liked him when he was a Red, and I like him on the Phillies. Just something about him clicks with me, and makes me appreciate him as a player and a person. Here he is explaining why Scooby Do is his favorite superhero. 🤣
  5. Geez, how did you manage to sweat all of the blue out of that hat?
  6. I agree with you. He will be remembered by those outside of Detroit for his Astros accomplishments much more than anything he did with the Tigers. I can easily see him going into the HoF as an Astro.
  7. I loved Billy Squier. I know the Rock Me Tonight video is "credited" with ruining his career, but I still like the song. The video is an unmitigated disaster though. I hope that director was never allowed behind a camera again. And now I see a track just released yesterday called Powerhouse on Spotify. Nice! Actually, that's just a remix of an old song. There is a release from March called Harder On a Woman, but it's not great.
  8. Finally grabbed that other cassette for your walkman from the passenger's seat, eh?
  9. I wish it would stay this way, but I know it won't. Not only has it been exclusively Buffett, but also it's been a wide variety of his catalog.
  10. You're welcome. When you are friends with someone for 30+ years, you learn a few things about how to help them get to the right answer and to not question a "yes".
  11. Not familiar with Fontaines, but saw AM before when they opened for Black Keys. I believe that show was at Joe Louis Arena.
  12. We are two years away from doing it for the second (and final) time, and we already have anxiety about that too. 🤣
  13. We dropped our oldest off at college for freshman year a couple of weeks ago. A stressful and emotional moment for sure. You just want them to be happy, and for them to develop a good social circle in a new environment. Well, he's doing great! He called his sister the other day and even she said afterwards "he sounds so happy!". We are so glad that he's plugged in well to campus and with his roommates/others. We still miss him like crazy, but it has helped tremendously to know that he is having a good experience. (And yes he's going to class too. He's a pretty conscientious student.)
  14. I'm still getting caught up on The Bear, but I just watching the family Christmas dinner episode. The show is always a bit of a stressful watch, but they cranked that up to 11 in that episode. Oh my! And all the guest stars were simply fantastic.
  15. I can usually get 7-8 of them, and have gotten 9 a few times. Usually even if a grid has a lot of possible answers, I make at least one dumb guess. It doesn't help that I try to not use obvious answers, so I end up choosing wrong simply because I thought Mo Vaughn played for the Rangers and Red Sox (he didn't, it was the Mets after Anaheim and Boston) instead of just picking Eovaldi.
  16. My grid was so ugly today... In general though I can really only get it if former Tigers meet the criteria. I got two of them worked in to the five I got on today's grid. LOL!
  17. I have everyone in my phone with their full names, even my children. If I did nicknames, everyone would be Mr/Mrs Captain Dip****, which seems like it would be confusing.
  18. I plowed through Jury Duty on Prime over the course of a couple of days. It was a fun show, but I wonder how that guy was selected to be the "hero" in the first place. They didn't address that in the wrap up at the end of the show.
  19. Not to venture off topic, but this seems like good news.
  20. I decided to listen to it this morning. Forgot how great RV is. "I think it's time I had a talk with my kids. I'll just tell 'em what my daddy told me. You ain't never gonna amount to nothin'."
  21. I love this album. Midlife Crisis, Easy, Land of Sunshine, and Be Aggressive are great tracks.
  22. We have lived in this house for about ten years, and the same people have lived next door the entire time. We have never met them. 🤣
  23. So like a tube top then. That's seems better! Duel purpose!
