    The biggest problem with this as I see it is that Vierling/Carpenter pushing out Outman/Malgeri will lead Hinch to using them more than Outman/Malgeri currently are, which they don't deserve. Same goes for Perez. None of those three deserve the leash they have gotten this season. If anyone does, it's Carpenter for the reasons monkeytargets stated (but none of them do).

    The immediate declaration of winners and losers is so dumb, especially when one side is nearly always getting players a year or more away from contributing. If it's a straight trade of major league players, it would make a little more sense, but it almost never is.

    Twas the greatest spectacle I've ever witnessed live and in-person. From the grounds crew chasing it around like 3rd grade soccer to the Taveras flip to the final toweling, it was truly a sight to behold.

    Agreed, though to do that it probably needs to be a three team deal, with Skubal going to a contender, prospects going to the 3rd team, and position player(s) to the Tigers. Those are tough to pull off.

    Two things. First, Dirks is over-the-moon thrilled that his McGonigoogles comment has taken hold (as he should be). Second, the Petry version they showed during the broadcast was pathetic. No wonder Andy, Jason and Daniella don't invite him to do fun things.
