Yes it looks like there is going to be a "gave up on Paredes" narrative that ignores trading him for a good player at a position of need. Also worth noting, his OBP is .265. Nobody gave up on him, he simply was blocked by better baseball players.

I love that expansion era Blue Jays lineup, the local press used to really pump those guys up...Bob Bailor, Alvis Woods etc. It didn't take Pat Gillick much longer to put together a perennial contender though.

The BS about hydroxy literally killed a guy, the guy who drank the aquarium cleaner after Trump said it would work. So having observed that hydroxy was total BS it would seem to be completely understandable to dismiss ivermectin as well.
