  1. 7 innings, 102 pitches, that should be it. Nice job.
  2. 9 pitch inning for Skubal, needed that
  3. It seems dead in the water. MAGAs were never going to care anyway.
  4. Any day that Skubal is starting is a good day.
  5. Ha ha, Zelenskyy pointed out that at the time of Munich in 1938 Kissinger was 15 years old. Surely this is the last time that we ever hear from Kissinger isn't it?
  6. I guess I won't go and look up the Lakeland box scores lol.
  7. I could live with that. Keep Grossman out for a few days.
  8. That's what I remember, that Grossman only came here because of Hinch and was specifically recruited by Hinch. So, let's not include him in the "crap players that Avila gave Hinch to work with". Sit him down for a week, play Clemens instead, and lead off anybody.
  9. I agree and Gardenhire was an odd little man who, had he chosen a career in industry, might have risen all the way to payroll supervisor. And yet he is not demonstratably worse as a baseball manager than his predecessor or his successor.
  10. Willi is on a pace for over 300 PA's, that's completely unacceptable. Grossman needs to sit for a week. Play Daz, Hill and Clemens instead of those two. I don't see what additional managerial value we are receiving compared to what Ron Gardenhire used to provide.
  11. Yeah Tork's is .994
  12. Schoop's OPS for his past 7 games is .898
  13. You can't hide Willi's glove anywhere on the field, and he can't hit righthanders. He put up a week of empty batting average, which inevitably disappeared. Clemens is simply a better baseball player at the moment, so swap them yesterday.
  14. Willi, batting lefthanded....nah forget it
  15. This Matthew Yglesias guy sounds like quite an asshole.
  16. Brieske at 70 pitches already,he won't last for 5 innings
  17. Here's Sanchez, drill him hard in the ribs
  18. Yes I think that in past discussions there have been many participants here who think that "bullpen roles" like "closer" are stupid. It's another case of the "role" having to be filled even though the appropriate player is not on the roster. It is analogous to Hinch wanting Tony Phillips on the roster and somehow thinking that Harold and Willi and Haase can meet the requirements. If Mariano is on your team well then yes by all means have a "closer", but if he isn't then don't assume that Gregory Romo can magically attain the same results.
  19. He's a mass murderer, but a puny little mass murderer compared to his hero.
  20. Same. Good game, you don't always win those.
  21. This thread is so silly it could be amalgamated with the Javy Baez thread.
  22. Happy May Two-Four everybody!
  23. Good for Biden for taking an unusual stand, people in Taiwan will appreciate it. It does beg the question "what happens if China invades in 2025?"
