I was. I thought he was doing a good job. 2022 was a hard slap in the face though... so I had to re-evaluate and... right around the trade deadline, and shortly thereafter... I came to the conclusion in my usual understated manner that he was just not quite good enough. Underperforming in multiple areas that I was reluctant to admit to previously. I wouldn't call myself happy or unhappy at his firing... wrong adjectives... More like "in complete agreement and understanding". Time to upgrade. I don't know if Harris will make it or not... But I think he's the upgrade that we needed.

As long as someone looks at each of their songs as "Pop", I think they are understood properly. Trying to diminish their work by saying that it is weak or that there is more impressive bands in "blues" or "psychedelia" or any other defined genre misses the point. Agree 100% on the elite musicality and irresistible hooks... And... No other individual or act comes close.

Here's an easy one... and sb wouldn't have the balls to admit it's true either: Our country, the good ol' USA... doesn't exist except France sent billions (just guessing in today's dollars) to us from 1776-1784, experienced officers (anyone know the name Lafayette?) and soldiers, and Naval Ships in which WE DON'T WIN the American Revolution without that support. Anyone opposed to supporting Ukraine lacks balls IMO.

I think the Beatles were the greatest: Pop band. Or top 40 or whatever you wanna call it. If they tried blues or psychedelia... it was still a pop song because of... The Beatles... and I'm OK with that. They had a much broader range than just "pop"... but I think all of their music gets pulled back into that genre simply because their popularity overrode whatever genre they were actually attempting to play. I can listen to "Something", "Yesterday", "Why Don't We Do it in the Road?", "Drive My Car", "We Can Work it Out", "You've Got to Hide Your Love Away", "Eleanor Rigby", "Rocky Raccoon", "Two of Us", "Get Back", "Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds", "Ob-Li-Di, Ob-Li-Da", "A Day in the Life", "Tomorrow Never Knows".... And think what great Pop songs. And I've barely scratched the surface of the Beatles. I could quadruple that list without breaking a sweat. And it doesn't matter what genre they were supposed to be trying with any of those... they all end up as just great pop songs by the Beatles. And there's no one even close to them. The Beatles, IMO, are the greatest "Pop band", ever.

I would hope it's NOT Harrison as he didn't become effective until he was 28 or 29... He dominated for about 5+ years... but I'm hoping Anderson (I mean, if we draft him...) could give more than that...

No (haha, funny...). Not me. But I friggin' LOATHE Mike MF'ing Ditka. Hate him. It was probably also a Lions thing (Billy Sims and the Silver Rush couldn't get past him...); but it was definitely an "I hate this A-Hole" thing...

I would also look at Myles Murphy as a nice pass-rushing/ stout run defender combo bookend to Hutch at DE. But Carter is my #1 choice.

Playing the same position doesn't make two players a personality match. Again, Ditka was an A-Hole, DC is NOT. And I'll take Cowher's 15 years with the Steelers, 8 division champs, 10 postseasons, and winning Super Bowl 40, as well as his cheerleading persona and his underrated sideline smarts and a HOF resume as more akin to who I would like DC to resemble rather than: Dickhead Ditka. And it's not even close.

I want the inside pass rusher first. So that's Carter. Anderson could possibly be a Von Miller demon or something similar... But that inside dominance opens up everything/ everybody else to making defensive plays... including more Houston sacks (which he seems to be able to capably garner himself...).

I'm thinking more like Bill Cowher. Ditka was an A-Hole... Dan Campbell is not.
