  1. He got back on the ice to skate around... looks ok but I'll bet he's got a nice little bruise and a lot of soreness where he got hit with the puck...
  2. I don't think the first goal was terrible... it was close to point blank and the defense was beat on the short-handed as much as anything... But that second goal... so weak...
  3. This is the correct response.
  4. I don't think so. Teams recognize him for what he is. There's no one that is going to look at him as an RB1.
  5. I don't think he's going to take a pay cut. Not a chance. But if you mean will he take less than max value to stay... I'm on board with that if it is indeed "reasonable". But $7 mill is just too much, even given the culture/ locker room presence, which I agree with, and all those TD's he scoring...
  6. At $6.9 mill AAV... yeah, elsewhere. I'm with buddha in that bruisers are easy enough to replace/ find another effective one when the real star is an excellent O-Line and a sharp O-Coordinator...
  7. PS: Raise your hands if you vote Kevin McCarthy to be second in line for the Presidency: https://www.yahoo.com/news/wanna-dress-rehearsal-next-house-002011171.html
  8. I would LOVE to have Miggy on the Tigers in 2023. As a bench coach where he can wave to the fans every game... not on the roster.
  9. No (meaning: I think you're right... no need to worry about Seider)... But I'd rather give him a good pairing that boosts him up rather than a crappy pairing that is dragging him down...
  10. Unless he goes down for 10+ games in 2023?
  11. And when 30-45% of those Mr. Ed horses are just loudly shouting out "F.U."
  12. I think that's a reach... I don't agree with that take...
  13. I'd like to see them get Jamaal an extension... like... today. But I don't view Williams as the key to having a need for drafting another RB. That is dependent on Swift's health... which is spotty at best. I think Reynolds is OK, he tries hard. But I like Jackson a whole lot more. Although I like him as a 3rd RB if we had a healthy #1; which we don't. So I consider him as a 4th RB, based on the unreliability of Swift, and I want to slot in another drafted RB who doesn't have to be an immediate starter but could take over as the #1 guy at some point in the season when Swift gets knocked out again for 6 +/- games... Jackson can be on the game-day roster as the #3 regardless of who the starter is... He is good in the passing game, as a returner, and as the 3rd guy, regardless. Williams I like a whole lot as the #2 back, especially for tough yards and all those TD's he keeps scoring for us... But I think we should draft another RB, IMO... based wholly on the unreliable health of Swift.
  14. Which has nothing to do with American hatred/ vilification of European socialism... the original topic that was under discussion...
  15. I am still 100%, absolutely, under the belief that the new House Dems coming in should (TODAY!!!) whip their caucus and give a call to... Steve Scalise. Cut a deal with him. Keep the investigations to an absolute minimum... And announce that... "100% of the incoming Democrats in Congress will vote for Steven Scalise for Speaker of the House". https://www.yahoo.com/news/kevin-mccarthy-says-democrats-could-195056960.html I don't trust, or like McCarthy. Getting 100% Dems behind Scalise gives power to the moderate/ centrist Republicans, who have enough members to stonewall the Fascist Republican wing and the McCarthy (he and MAGA = not much difference) wing... and push Scalise into the Speakership. It would force the 118th into the center and away from partisan hackery/ incessant confrontational politics. Or... at least hopefully...
  16. Hoping that bodes well for us...
  17. Very close along the lines of what I am thinking... However, I really want to get another high-end starting Guard out of this draft so on the second LB'er you've selected (Sewell... I'm counting Anderson as a pass-rusher/ OLB'er, not necessarily a straight-up DE...), I'd rather slot a Guard in there...
  18. That may have worked for him in the past but I am guessing he no longer has the speed to carry that successfully... And that would be the problem...
  19. Yeah, that needs pushback. Bernie et al IS European socialism. Dumb to think he is bringing it down... even if he does often attack or be counterproductive to Dems. No... it is SQUARELY on Republicans for tearing constantly at European socialism (conflated specifically with "socialized" medicine) loudly and successfully.
  20. Right.. but that's an earlier quote. What I'm saying is the quote you took from MB, he was referencing Republicans only who are grifters who do nothing but bad mouth Dems with their outrage politics. Unless I'M misreading MB's quote and he is actually referencing Bernie et al as the grifters? That could be it... OK... I think I get it now...
  21. Patrick Mahomes at pick #10 and Josh Allen at pick #7. What that says is... We hope the Lions scouting/ drafting is better than we are, since we are just guessing. Or that Holmes is better than prior Lions GM's at drafting. So far so good I think. Now, if he can identify the next Mahomes or Josh Allen and it is Anthony Richardson and he uses the Rams pick to get him then... we just have to hope that he is RIGHT!!! And Richardson becomes a monster for us...
  22. I think MB was talking about Republicans (only what you quoted) and it looks like you're talking about Progressives...?
  23. That's where I dropped both Libertarians and Republicans. I like the idea of a balanced budget... but to me that means that taxes may have to be raised OR there are spending choices... not slash, cut & burn, plus tax cuts only for the wealthy and businesses and only corporations get welfare. That put me back into the middle as an Independent... but caucusing 95+ % with moderate Dems.
  24. This is what I've been thinking, but.... A) Maata has been really, really, really good for Hronek... and therefore I do not want to split this pairing up. B) So the only place for Chiarot (in my mind) is to slide him down to the 3rd pairing... which I think would greatly benefit whoever ends up as his partner down there... C) However, that means that Edvinsson would need to be ready to bring him up and throw him onto a Seider pairing. But... I'm guessing the Wings don't believe he's ready for that yet so... We may have to live with Chiarot paired with Seider for awhile...
