  1. Yes... BUT: Now we have a killer wait for season 2... !!! Also: How did Daemon know that Lucerys was killed? It was in the middle of nowhere... or was Rhaenyra just reacting to Daemon telling her he got them dragon Vermithor? She looked shaken by the message and turned around in rage so it had to be Lucerys news... how did Daemon know?
  2. That's a calculated risk that help builds this team for the future? 37 y.o. dead-in-the-water Longoria? I think Harris has a different definition of calculated risk than that... But... we'll see.
  3. There's nothing left of Longoria. That ship sailed 3 years ago. No thanks.
  4. And this is the other key point... I think Candy is closer to this guy and 3 WAR than the .630 OPS 0.5 WAR guy from 2022...
  5. This is where I'm at and why I'm good with bringing back Candy. And the $7 mill is absolutely meaningless. It doesn't preclude the team from finding any other option out there, if there is one to be found... and obtaining him. I see no reason to not give him the QO unless the team believes he is actually broken... As one additional point: If Candy is on the team, and Tork needs some extended AAA time (I doubt it... just sayin'), Candy can actually passably handle 1B. I'd rather that as backup option to Tork than Miggy, Schoop, or Harold... who should be kept at DH, 2B, and Utility, respectively. And I would rather Kreidler get all that time at 3B as well, rather than keeping Candy at 3B and going to one of those other options. Just my 2 cents.
  6. PS: Just my opinion... but I think this should be the "Who does Goff get replaced by?" thread. That's the real conversation... with more than one option/ opinion that will be floating around... But I do think it will be the earliest/ best 1st round pick QB that we can get our hands on next year... Just my opinion...
  7. Yeah, I don't think there's much discussion. What buddha said.
  8. They looked good today. Better than I can remember in the longest time on Power Play, power play entries, overall puck control and passing and overall defensive philosophy (not perfect, but a lot better than in recent memory, read: Blashill) and it appears defensive talent as well... (it's early, but Hronek is +5 in 5 games?!?! That's a huge turnaround for him I'm going to guess is Lalonde's D philosophy, a demand for D effort... and D partner (I'm calling it as Maata helping Hronek here...)), plus depth of talent. I'm certain there will be ups and down this year... But it looks like we are making the first step back towards contending for the playoffs again.
  9. Larkin should be 5 games 7 points...
  10. Russia = KIDNAPPERS of UKRAINIAN CHILDREN: https://www.yahoo.com/news/using-adoptions-russia-turns-ukrainian-141414618.html
  11. Not even counting the debt trap that China has unwittingly put on itself... it'll be interesting to see how that plays out...
  12. those guys are freaking hilarious! I'm on board... a massive show-up of historically accurate participants, including "field workers" in chains with all the bags of cotton balls that they've "picked"... Good for a laugh or six...
  13. Seider looks like he's starting this year a bit slowly...
  14. I think that's absolutely true, today. But it may not be true by the end of this season. This is exactly what I'm saying. I hate to use this, very, very bad word again, but... I think this team is going to need some "patience". From us fans. For all these kids. For Weaver (this is what I have been addressing for the most part in this thread... it seems like some may already be losing patience with Weaver? I don't get that, at all. Not you buddha... I'm just sort of both answering your post as well as jumping up on my soap box for a minute... To emphasize (soap box): These kids are All-Caps YOUNG!) IMO... maybe not so much patience with Casey. But yeah, lots of losing ahead. Lots of growing pains. But, I'm still thinking that Livers and Duren may be better than Bey and Stewart by seasons' end, at least in specific areas...
  15. Get Duren and Livers up to speed and then push Bey & Stewart to the bench. The bench now goes from a weakness to a strength. Add in Bagley off the bench (or swap with Duren if he's just not ready yet) and that also adds some Offense there...
  16. You and I have different timetables. Let's just leave it at that.
  17. But he still scored?
  18. And we're not there yet. The true potential stars for this team are kids and still going through massive learning curves at this point.
  19. I'm not really worried about Weaver. I'm more thinking along the lines of... Can he pull off a Kevin Garnett trade? Ainge accumulated talent & draft picks and then, in order to move his team forward... traded a boatload of them for Garnett. They never won it all but... got into the Finals a couple of times. If we end up with a roster of talent that doesn't mesh well... Weaver needs to swing that critical trade, whatever it is.... That's why I'm not worried about him just yet... his job first is to accumulate talent, in any way possible. and not everyone (Killian) will make it. Then get the right coach. Then put in the last couple of pieces. Right now, he's still collecting talent and it's way too early to tell how the pieces will grow, will make it, or not, and will mesh. I don't care about this year's record. And possibly not next year's either; however, if we're still struggling, then it's time to kick Casey upstairs. Actually... the sooner the better. So... Casey is the first guy to be on any hot seat, not Weaver. IMO.
  20. Lack of size, lack of athleticism, lack of defense, lack of shooting = unwatchable.
  21. There's always Donny Baseball's bat to bash in a few heads...
  22. Send over the Inglorious Basterds to carve the swastika into Putin's and all his cronies/ FSB/ Wagner Group/ War Criminal soldiers' foreheads....
  23. I believe it was already stated above...: The Lottery for the 2023 Draft order, first 6 picks, should be held at the Winter Meetings this year, in December...
  24. In other words...: NOT a 1st round pick. Which was my point. As opposed to Avila can "only get good players if they are top 10 1st round draft picks."
  25. I'm not shy. At all. Funny... but all the Trumpers around me... family, friends, co-workers... bite their tongues around me. I let them know in no uncertain terms how corrupt, moronic, fascist, lying-out-of-their-asses, Trump and his supporters are. And they know I will pull absolutely no punches whatsoever. I want it that way. I refuse to put up with lying BS. I refuse to put up with shitting all over my democracy or the Constitution of the United States. And I'm not shy about that at all.
