  1. Is this true? Could be, I’ll take his word for it.
  2. Habs ahead in their game though. But at the moment:
  3. Wings hang on … barely. 2-1 final.
  4. Talbot! Two Sundays in a row.
  5. 40 seconds still to kill.
  6. Oh man, that chance at the empty net should have ended the game. What a miss by DeBrincat.
  7. Good work, Talbot. Still 2-0 Wings with 4 minutes to go.
  8. Wings play them again on Thursday in Florida so I hope the missing players take their long sweet time coming back.
  9. 2-0. Wings are all over them. 3 straight power plays has helped, so hope no makeup calls.
  10. DeBrincat finally buries one of his chances. 1-0 Wings early in the 2nd.
  11. 0-0 Panthers at Wings after 1. Florida is practically icing a B team. Missing Barkov, Ekblad, Tkachuk, Kulikov, Sturm, others.
  12. Is a flight to Cleveland ever joyous?
  13. Yankees should be a good measuring stick. When 6 of 9 games so far have been against a historically great or historically awful team, hard to draw firm conclusions.
  14. Torkelson was the Tigers’ big offseason acquisition.
  15. An excited Dan Dickerson calls Tork’s winner Tork Walk Off Over White Sox.m4a
  16. Ovie! Nice shot for a clean record-breaking goal.
  17. MLB.com has the lineup as this. If true, hope just a planned off day for Greene?
  18. The Wings now control their destiny over Columbus, as they are tied in points and games and the Wings have a big lead in the tiebreaker. Almost there against the Rangers, as if the Wings win their game in hand tomorrow they’ll be tied in games and points, although NYR has a big lead in that tiebreaker. Believe it or not, if the Wings win tomorrow and the Habs lose in regulation in Nashville, the Wings will control their destiny over the Habs as well. The Wings would be 4 pts back by tomorrow night, then a regulation win in Montreal on Tuesday would put the Wings 2 back but with a game in hand and the tiebreaker edge. Maybe 1%-3% of making the playoffs?
  19. I have an idea. Knies was a 2nd round pick in 2021 so Detroit could offer Toronto, in exchange for Knies, all seven of the Wings’ 2019-2021 2nd round picks: Tuomistro, Mastrosimone, Johansson, Wallinder, Niederbach, Hanas and Buium. We just have to remind the Leafs that Yzerman is a great drafter so they just need to be patient.
  20. DETROIT -- The Tigers have not yet come up with a home run celebration for this season. They’re looking for an idea to present itself spontaneously, according to Riley Greene. “That was [Jake] Rogers’ job this year,” said Spencer Torkelson, the creative mind behind the hockey-themed celebration two years ago and last year’s Little Caesars celebration. “He kind of fumbled that. … I pass the baton and look what happens.” Said Rogers: “It’s kind of been put on my head to do that. I’m pretty traditional as it is. There’s been some really good ideas.”
  21. Win! 4-4 record. No apologies for getting to beat up on the hapless White Sox, after having to start the season at the powerful Dodgers.
