  1. It’s raining bombs!
  2. 2-2 heading to the bottom of the 4th. Mize at 61 pitches so on pace to give the Tigers 6 innings.
  3. Some good contact that inning. More runs will come. 1-0 Tigers after 2.
  4. It’s nice that even when a ball drifts back towards fence, I have confidence Carpenter will go up and catch it. It’s what he does.
  5. I was in 10th grade in 1983 and this reminds me of one of our high school dances, just a bit fancier.
  6. Yes, I really like Pete Enns
  7. Rays had a 5th inning lead tonight but ended up losing by 14 runs!
  8. Unless KC comes back to beat the Dodgers, the Tigers will no longer have best record in MLB. 😞
  9. Are the Wings being linked to ANYONE, via free agency or trade?
  10. I’d have signed Dobson to that contract if he was a UFA and no assets required. Or I would gladly give up asp, #13 and Mazur if a more modest contract. But doing both combined seems like too much for me.
  11. Pretty steep, both in assets given up and extension $.
  12. Tuesday will see a number of 40-pt players sign more lucrative contracts.
  13. This is incredible for value for the Leafs.
  14. Here comes grumpy pants me to say both look horrible. No LCA needed across the top, no LCA needed across the bottom, no Hockeytown needed. Just the logo is plenty.
  15. Cleveland, KC or Minnesota would have to be the best or very nearly the best team in MLB the rest of the way. Looking only at Cleveland, because they're 2.5 up on Minnesota and 3 up on KC, the Guardians would need to go 51-32 (.614) in their final 83 games to get to 91-71. The Tigers and Dodgers are tied for the best record in baseball and both have gone 51-31 to start the year, no other team is closer than 2.5 games to that. The Tigers are going to win the AL Central division comfortably; my concern that will be keep me interested in the standings all summer is that the Tigers stay ahead of either Houston (2.5 games behind the Tigers currently) or the AL East leader (NY Yankees 4.0 games behind the Tigers currently, Tampa 4.5) in order to get a bye into the ALDS.
  16. Tigers are 13-10 so far for the month of June. 12 home games, 11 road games. Funny, I would have been a bit of disappointed in that at the beginning of the month, given what seems to have been a favourable schedule, but it's still .565 ball for the month, or 92 win pace for the month.
