  1. I've been saying all season that he'd never pitch for the Tigers. Wow, what an embarrassing signing. Very Yzerman-esque.
  2. Yeah, It's a bust, but nothing too team-altering. They gambled on a few players and won so they need to get an L sometimes too. I am on the verge of calling Levi a pretty big bust. You need more out of a 2nd round pick, especially a higher pick. It may be a health thing, but even when he was healthy he didn't seem too impactful. I feel like when you are bad and drafting high, you need more than a rotational guy from the 2nd round.
  3. Tigers open vs. Padres in 2026. I love the fact the MLB wants a World Series rematch for the opening weekend !
  4. I wouldn't touch Byron Buxton. NEVER healthy.
  5. Is it me, or can the Tigers NEVER seem to beat the A's on the road, no matter where that is. Just never. It seems like it. Do they just mentally check out when they play this team?
  6. I don't think Detroit's defense is anywhere close to the Top 5. I think it could be in the bottom 10, but I guess we'll see. This team is going to have to score a lot of points and have long time-consuming drives. And that is what they are built to do. Is Hendon Hooker the biggest draft bust in Brad's tenure with the Lions?
  7. Horrible streaming. Let the stream play for about 4 or 5 minutes and the audio and video are completely out of synch and you have to exit and go back in. Plus where there is no ad to fill the time they have this title card with sports sound effects that just keeps playing. Um, why not 30 second or 60 second or 15 second highlights?
  8. Geographically Indy makes sense, but the Cardinals, Reds, White Sox and Cubs owners would form alliances to stop it. Just like the Phillies, Mets and Yankees would never allow a team in North Jersey, even though it would work there. North Jersey checks off just about every box you'd want in expansion. It will be one team east of the big River and one team west of the big River. Nashville is all-but guaranteed a team. (Alphabetically......) Portland, Salt Lake City, San Jose, Vancouver I really can't see anyone else having a realistic chance. The only way Charlotte gets a team is if the Rays move there and then they could be the Charlotte Rays and Mrs. Garrett from the Facts Of Life could be their logo.
  9. Wow, Jones is a liability in the field. He's had a couple of pretty bad plays today. He should have had that. I know it was a tough play, but it's the majors and he should make that.
  10. Fanduel Sports is the single worst streaming app I've ever used.
  11. Time to go cut the grass. it is a beautiful day in the D
  12. If Flaherty's our #2 in the postseason, we're in trouble. I out of every 4 outings he's good. The rest of the time he's vomit.
  13. It helps when your LT gets to false start 10 times a game with no call. I think the Lions will get to the Super Bowl in one of the next 3 years. I think it's going to be in a year where we don't expect it because I think being an underdog favors this team more than being the favorite. But they really need to find a way to stay healthy. Remember people had written off the Eagles last year. Sirianni was fighting with fans and seemingly on the hot seat. Funny, so many people seem to expect a down year this year, a down year being 10-7. Imagine thinking 10-7 is a down year just four years ago.
  14. I can't wait to post Fidrych. The reason I fell in love with baseball.
  15. This division race is over. O-V-E-R, Over.
  16. I was using reverse psychology there, see?
  17. 9th inning Vest and Not 9th inning Vest are not the same thing at all
  18. Question: Is there a way to look at the team stat page and just isolate a month or a home/away split in Baseball Reference? You know - this page?
  19. You know something almost all streaks do? Come to an end. And we had bad Paddack last time. He's kind of a yo-yo, might get good Paddack tonight. Anyway, it's baseball. It's a beautiful evening, perfect temperature out there and it's a Saturday Just enjoy it, knowing that if you lose 60 times in one season, you're one of the best teams in baseball. Tigers get 7 more
  20. Wow, the Yankees are a disaster. Lost 6-3 Thursday to Boston - playing like Caca (**** would be too respectful), 9 walks, 4 errors Then 1-0 last night And today losing 12-1 AT HOME ! Not sure Aaron Boone survives if they don't get to the ALCS again. And since that's a step below last year, he might not survive even if they do get to that level. I know the team isn't as knee-jerk as when George was running the team, but when a team plays really poorly someone usually gets the blame.
  21. I feel like a win tonight over KC and that's pretty much that as far as the AL Central (especially if Cleveland loses. A win tonight and they are 11.5 over both of them even if Cleveland wins and with just 31 games left, it would take both an epic surge from one of them, coupled with an epic collapse by the Tigers. Now its all about keeping a top 2 slot and setting the playoff rotation.
  22. Is Bennetti doing the Tigers game tonight? I am sure he could, but as much as I like the guy, I am a little miffed that he has prioritized doing Lions preseason games over Tiger regular season games while they have the best record in the AL. Just rubs me the wrong way. I know he can do both when they are playing at home, but he didn't he do the Lions game last week instead of the Tigers?
