lol at the Chargers fans, absolutely no reaction when the name was called but as soon as he said he was from USC they suddenly then start cheering and celebrating.
LaPorta scouting report and stats show that he is really good at breaking tackles, I don't remember if Hock was like that in college too but I always felt that was something he was lacking with the Lions atleast from my vantage point. It just seemed to me that as soon as a guy put a hand on him he was going down, rarely did it seem like he would break tackles for more YAC. One of his last or maybe his last game here where he had that real monster game was one of the few times we ever seen it. Hopefully LaPorta can make plays like Hock did in that game more consistently.
I think there's still a few solid DBs left before you hit another drop off so I think it would be wise for Brad to snag one of them with this next pick and not risk waiting or else you may end up with one that is a tier or 2 lower.
As has been mentioned sometimes you have to reach a little to insure you get the player you like, particularly if they are viewed as 1 of the top 2 or 3 players at their position cause all it would take is one of the 31 other teams to decide they want to go with that position and your player could very well be gone before you pick again.
Colts Owner Jim Irsay on twitter asking fans how they would feel about the Colts drafting Levis if he is there at 35. Keep up the smoke screen Jim maybe it will entice a team to trade up to 32 or 33 to take him.
I don't get where you get consensus from. PFF has Campbell 1, Walter Football had him 1, Draftbuzz had him 1, Scouts Inc. had him 1 in fact I've seen far more people have him 1 than at 3.
The guy from Scouts Inc. has a 2nd rd mock on ESPN and he has us taking Mayer(lol at the meltdown that would cause), the DE from Northwestern whos name escapes me and Ringo.
