You just love to see it.....when it's not the Tigers doing it of course.

Fb sitting 94 and 95 may be the most encouraging news especially if it topped out at say 97.

"I don't see him being ready for training camp. I don't see that," Campbell said. "I'm very hopeful, but I don't see it. We're going to do this thing the right way and when he's ready, he'll be ready. But, no, I don't feel like you're going to see him out there Day 1" Campbell's response when asked about Williams. Definitely agree with taking slow but even if he isn't ready by day 1 of camp that doesn't mean he won't be ready by the start of the season.

If it is indeed another 2 weeks I guess we owe Lynn an apology cause that would make what 3‐4 weeks total he was there? Yeah Lynn said 5 weeks but if it ends up being close to 4 I will give him the benefit of the doubt. I honestly thought he'd be there a couple weeks tops.

https://www.espn.com/nba/insider/story/_/id/34055752/2022-nba-draft-ranking-top-30-prospects-based-stats-scouting Kevin Pelton top 30 prospects based off the advanced metrics and scouting. The metrics point a much different picture than what the scouts say. His list has Holmgrem, Smith, Murray, Griffin and Daniels at the top 5 in that order. Paulo is all the way down at 12. Even though it says and scouting I'm not sure how much emphasis is put on that though.

I say this half in jest but part of me thinks he should legit try it and that is once he gets to two strikes just take a couple pitches, if it ends up being a fastball down the middle and you do down looking so be it. On the other hand if they are sliders away like they have basically been every time you now show teams that you are willing to lay off of them so maybe they'll actually start to throw you something different sometimes going forward.

Jesus turned water into wine but Fetter turned the Tigers bullpen into a force. You tell me who the real miracle worker is.

A top 5 prospect in baseball is getting called up for this weekend's series at Comerica...unfortunately it's not the guy we were hoping for.

I'm gonna keep watching since I'm only 5 mins but just want to comment this before I forget. Holmes and Campbell say something like "there's only 1 person on the board" when they put in the Hutch pick, if I'm reading it right I'm thinking they must've had him and Walker as the only 2 guys they thought about with that pick and after Walker was taken that left Hutch as the only person on the board.

ESPN put out their projected draft order based off their FPI metric and they have the Lions with the 8th pick. The teams ahead of them in order are Jets, Bears, Texans, Jags, Falcons, Steelers and Panthers. 4 of those 7 teams used 1st round picks on QBs in the last 2 years so they may not necessarily be in the market for one this draft. I suppose though that if the Jets finish that bad it was probably due to Wilson not looking good and considering how quickly NY dumped Darnold they may do the same if Wilson looks bad again this year.

Yes offense is down and yes these are kinda arbitrary cutoff numbers but still to do something that only 2 other players in the last 130 years have done is pretty damn impressive.
-
I think if he is there then he's probably the pick but I wouldn't be surprised if Sacramento goes after him, particularly if they are indeed serious about making the playoffs next year.
-
With the lack of production and defense we have been getting from the OF this year if Reyes comes back and plays to his career norms he may seem like Willie Mays to us.

My Mom's side of the family is from just outside Pittsburgh so we had our family reunions there ever summer up until I was probably 16. That was my Cedar Point as a kid, miss those days.

The more stuff you post about Murray the more I like him. Im getting to the point where I may actually be a little disappointed if we don't get him, which is weird cause a month ago I didn't even want him.

Don't look now but Daz now has the 3rd highest slugging on the team and is about league average in OPS. Granted being 3rd on this team is like being the tallest midget but still he is starting to look a little more conpetent at the plate and may not be a complete lost cause after all.
-
Judging by the mocks there are a few guys that could be available at 16 that I like so Id do that deal if offered.

Josh and Gibby's interactions were always the butt of jokes with my friends and I. Like they always just came up with random conversations out of nowhere. Josh: Fick with an rbi double to bring the Tigers within 1 Gibby: "So did you see SNL on Saturday Josh" *ten minute discussion about snl ensues.*

God that book was a lifesaver in the pre digital cable days.

It was only in Toledo but Grossman just tattooed a HR, even if it was in the minors it's nice to see him show some power after it being non existent up here this year.
-
For those that That was cool of Rizzo to tell Barnhart after the fact that they indeed picked up on him tipping pitches and it confirms what eagle eye Jomboy thought. Of course that is assuming the giveaway was the long look at 3rd like suggested in the video and not something else that we couldn't get a good look at from the CF camera.

What's the word on Austin Bergner? Like could he be a legit prospect now? Hes currently in Erie pitching to a 2.50 ERA and sub 1 whip with a k an inning. He's 25 so he's a little old but he was drafted in 2019 so this is only his 3rd pro season. Only thing I could really gather on himafter a quick google search is that he was one of the highest ranked pitchers coming out of high school and as of the freep article from Feb he has a 93-95mph fb that can touch 98. Not sure if it has ticked up this year or what his other stuff is like.

At the time of his contract it was said to be fully guaranteed by the Browns. My hope is that there were atleast some provisions about it being guaranteed if he was found guilty or if other off the field stuff came out. While I hate the Browns and normally wouldn't mind them being forced to pay 230 million to somebody that can't help them win I hate what Watson has been accused of even more and even if only a fraction of it is true I don't want to see a scumbag like that walk away with 230 million dollars.
