India was the 5th pick in the Mize draft and just won ROY, Kelenic 6th and after his rocky call up he appeared to look like a legit bat going forward, Madigral has looked good, Bart is a top 20 prospect in baseball, Grayson Rodriguez is top 5 so even without Mize there's a good chance we would have ended up with a really good player anywhere in the top 10ish range and right now any one of them could end up turning out to be the best in the class which is how it usually is in baseball.

Kiley McDaniel of ESPN has us at number 13 in his system rankings. He echoed what many people on here have said, to paraphrase "It'll be interesting to see how Avila and Co. Build the system now that they are competitive at the big league level cause almost anybody can hit on top 5 picks but now we will see if he can hit on picks that are later."

I can imagine the delight of the Hospital/Doctors when they found out that the star QB worth like 100 million dollars publicly announced to pay for everything. They can overcharge the hell out of everything knowing that he can't reneg on his promise. -

Good for them, I know Stafford was getting beat up pretty good on Twitter about walking away from it but I honestly don't think he meant any harm. Being a rich successful athlete you probably learn over the years to avoid any sorta potential drama like that, like it comes natural to them or atleast the smart ones to try to get away from any incidents. -
Damn there was some late movement on that first pitch which I presume was a slider and I dont know if it was the camera angle or not fastball appeared to have quite a bit of arm side run to it. Looked like it started in the lh batters box and finished over the plate.. probably in the low to mid 90s as well. Nasty stuff.

Perhaps some are fluff pieces but the more I hear about Johnson the more excited I am to see what the Lions can do with him calling plays. Hopefully through the draft or FA we can bolster our WR corps and if we do the offense will have the weapons and o line to be pretty good.

Also if it was a Lions fan he would've checked on her but he isn't about to trust those bandwagon LA fans. -

That's classic, I assumed he wanted to get as far away as possible so if she was hurt she didn't try to blame him and sue him. Kudos to Kelly though for checking on her. -

Parade size aside its weird how time works, it felt like the Rams were in STL for so much longer than 5 years when they won and I can't believe they have already been back in LA for 6 seasons now.

I hope for their sake the whole route didn't look like this cause if so that is definitely pathetic. Not quite as bad as the Chicago's WNBA team that won last season though.

McShay has us taking Hutch and Howell in his latest mock. I will say if we decide to go QB at 32 Howell is the guy I like the most. I think he offers the best combination of upside and floor. I don't think he's ever going to be the elite top 5 guy but I think if all goes well he could be above average in that 10 to 12 range that can sprinkle in some elite years, kinda like a Matt Ryan.

Nats offered Soto 13/350 and he turned it down. Assuming salaries don't take a drastic change for the worse in the coming years I think that was a wise decision. He hits the open market in 3 years at just 26 years old and I think he should easily clear 10/350 just in those years when he does.

LOCKOUT '22: When will we see baseball again?
RandyMarsh replied to Motor City Sonics's topic in Detroit Tigers
I live across the street from a couple little league baseball diamonds and it of course gets used during the summer for the Little League teams but other than that it is never used. It's not locked up or anything yet you don't see any kids playing any sandlot baseball at all. Like when I was a kid almost everyday kids in our neighborhood were up at the baseball diamond playing games, whether it was 3 on 3 with ghostrunners and oppo field out or sometimes even like 6 on 6. There were always kids playing yet I never see that at the field across the street. It makes me sad actually.- 1,851 replies

My Step Dad was a Vietnam Dog Handler so he's almost like a Dog whisperer, she is the 3rd dog I've had as an adult and each one I had him work with from when they were puppies and he trained them to basically do whatever you want on command. That is her "sit pretty" position so if I tell her to do that she will instantly do it.

I love the colors on the one on the left! I'm so jealous anytime I see cat pics though cause I'm highly allergic so I could never have one.

LOCKOUT '22: When will we see baseball again?
RandyMarsh replied to Motor City Sonics's topic in Detroit Tigers
My college girlfriend played soccer so I would always go to her games and outside of looking at some hot chicks I freaking hated it. She tried to teach me how to play and I could never grasp it.- 1,851 replies

Kiley McDaniel of ESPN put out his top 100 and he has Greene at 5, Tork at 7, Jobe at 58...and Dingler at 86.

Yes I'm raining on Stafford's parade but I just want to say that he did have like the easiest playoff path you could possibly get. Arizona looked terrible the last 6 weeks, the Bucs were missing their top 2 WRs, top OT, and 3 starters on defense and lost to the Jets 2 weeks prior with that lineup, the 49ers were a 6 seed and Bengals a 4. The point I'm getting at is I think if Staff got those slate of teams the years we made the playoffs we may have been able to make a run at things. -

There's some Aaron Donald retirement rumors floating around and he isn't denying them, I wouldn't be opposed to that.
