  1. I noticed in the box score that if you include ARSB's TD throw the Lions passing game as a whole earned the fabled perfect QB Rating.
  2. I'm still an Arnold believer but they have to do something with him during the bye week to try to clean things up. Granted some of the calls he has gotten this year have been a little ticky tack but it's obvious the refs are watching our DBs closely, hell I think Davis was called for more penalties in just this game than he was his last 2 years in TB combined.
  3. Don't agree with the toss sweep on 3rd and short. Just hand it off and run up the middle.
  4. Anzalone with another big missed tackle. He's been pretty bad this year aside from the early goings of the Rams game.
  5. It took Stafford 10 years to develop the touch St. Brown put on that throw.
  6. Whoa Laken Tomlinson is still playing and starting in this league?
  7. Great effort there on that TD run by Monty, could've easily been a tackle for a loss. And Bates almost misses another PA.
  8. Ironic that Kay is doing a Skubal start when 2 years ago he went off on the Yankees for getting shutout by this "nobody" in Tarik Skubal. He caught a lot of heat for that on social media cause while Skubal wasn't proven yet in the majors he was arguably the top left handed pitching prospect in baseball a year or 2 prior. If that would've been a Yankee he would've been looked as a big deal just based off his prospect pedigree and not a "nobody".
  9. Yeah would've liked to have a night game but given our lack of national star power I kinda figured we'd be one of the matinee games.
  10. To me Arnold has looked much better than Okudah ever did. Yeah he is handsy and definitely needs to work on that but he consistently is in position to make plays but unfortunately for him just hasn't made them enough. But the fact that he isn't getting ran off screen like previous DBs we had is a positive as far as I'm concerned. You figure sooner or later he will adjust to the NFL game and/or start getting the benefit of the whistle, and if that happens I think he will end up being a good one.
  11. The Twins collapse was epic! They can't even blame missing the playoffs on the Tigers going on an unreal run cause even without us they'd still probably would've lost out to Seattle due to the choke job.
  12. One of the more promising things about this is that this run wasn't necessarily just some arbitrary thing that happened without reason, there actually is some on field differences to explain it like getting Meadows and Carpenter back. Losing Baez and adding Sweeney, Keith getting better especially defensively and Tork returning and playing better.
  13. The one benefit of playing Houston is that we wouldn't have to worry about any weather delays(barring something like Katrina or Harvey happening).
  14. The last time the Tigers made the playoffs Jason Giambi and Derek Jeter were still in the league. The highest salary was 26 million in Zack Greinke(30 guys make more than that now) and AJ Hinch hadn't even started with the Astros yet.
  15. Now that they clinched the worst record I had to look at the run differential and unfortunately it looks like the 03 Tigers are gonna finish worse. Tigers were -337 here as the White Sox are -314.
  16. I can't remember where I heard it from(maybe Law?) but I guess alot of voters mail in their ballots early especially for 'minor" awards like MOTY. So if a decent chunk of voters sent their votes in a week ago then Hinch will definitely get hurt by it. I think a similar thing happened to Verlander in 2016, him and Porcello were close in numbers but Verlander pitched a dominant game to close that widened the gap slightly but by then many of the votes had already been casted.
  17. We lost 8 games in the last calendar month, 4 of which came in extra innings. Haven't lost a 9 inning game where we scored 3 or more runs since July.
  18. I wonder how many if any of these Tigers were playing any level of pro ball the last time the Tigers made the playoffs? I guess Maeda was but he's contributed so little I don't really count him.
  19. I wonder how DTrain and the rest of those posters that were so prominent in the summer are taking this?
  20. In 2011 the Lions, Wings and Tigers made the playoffs.
  21. Yeah definitely, especially if you compare it to how it has been the previous 10 years. Got the Lions playoff run, Wings actually playing meaningful hockey to the end, this Tigers team and if you're a Michigan fan you got the National Championship. Lets just pretend the Pistons don't exist.
  22. "Everyone stood there like the house on the side of the road and let the Tigers go by." Great call by Benetti!
  23. The last 3 games Riley has hit 7 balls at 105mph+ and one at 103, struck out a few times but boy when he has made contact it has been LOUD.
  24. I honestly don't think I have ever seen a wild pitch bounce like that before. Insane!
