  1. WENCEEL!!!!
  2. Tork could've had a 4 foot long boat oar and he still would've whiffed on those last 2 pitches. Not even remotely close.
  3. If the Ragnow torn pec is already completely off the bone then the options are either season ending surgery or he toughs it out and plays through it all season before getting surgery in the offseason. The fact is it's not going to get any better without surgery and surgery will almost certainly be a season ender but on the other hand if it's completely torn you really arent risking it getting any worse so if he is able to tough it out and still be effective he could continue to play. I question though how long you can be effective playing center in the NFL with a torn pec though.
  4. I guess one of the reasons they decided to have the first round series all at the same park was so they could play the games without off days to avoid a lengthy layoff for teams with the bye. Still though they will be looking at like 5+ days layoff so their timing could possibly be a little off the first game.
  5. On top of Jim Leyland day that was my 6 year old daughter's first time at a Tigers game.
  6. I mentioned Price in 08 but this is another example that comes to mind. One more is Joba Chamberlain in 2007, He started 07 in A+ and by August was pitching out of the Yankees bullpen and dominating guys due to his sheer stuff. Struggled in the playoffs that year in large part due to the infamous "midges game" in Cleveland. Otherwise he was dominant that couple months he was up. Just maybe we can find similar lightning in a bottle with Jobe this year.
  7. Really gonna need Campbell to finally take the step forward and justify his first round selection.
  8. I love it! I threw it out there last week, yeah he technically isn't "ready" but with his kinda stuff he could dominate MLB hitters who have never seen him, especially if used for only 1 trip through the order at a time or late in games when we need a big K. I think back to how the Rays used David Price in the 08 playoffs. Yeah Price was probably more polished than Jobe is now but wasn't close to a finished product as evidence of his mid 4 ERA the following year as a rookie starter. But in short doses he dominated for the Rays that playoffs due to his crazy stuff.
  9. Let's hope it isn't postponed cause that could be the difference between getting 2 Skubal starts to end the regular season or just one.
  10. No game ball for Punt God like I hoped but he atleast got a shout out by Campbell in his postgame locker room speech.
  11. Yeah Skubal strikes me as a "bet on yourself" type guy, much like Max was. I don't think he's going to leave potential money on the table by signing an extension early but I could be wrong about that.
  12. Tigers up to 69.7% on ESPN playoff odds(same as the Royals), Twins at 54.5%.
  13. Yeah the O-Line has been a major disappoint thus far this season but I thought they played better today. Unlike the first 2 games where it felt like Goff had to get the ball out in under 2 seconds or risk getting killed today there were several plays where he actually had time and was able to step into some throws down the field. The first 2 games he simply wasn't able to even do that, so many throws flat footed or off the back foot due to the blocking.
  14. I would like to see the All 22 on the Lions offense for this game cause it seems like there were several times where the Lions were looking to go deep and Goff had time that he just chose to check down instead. The good news is that in the first 2 weeks they wouldn't have been able to do stuff like that cause the OLine just weren't blocking well enough but the bad news is that either guys weren't getting open or they were open and Goff just didn't see them/didn't have the confidence to throw it.
  15. Looking forward to the locker room celebration video only to see if Punt God Jack Fox gets a game ball, he certainly deserves one with how he kept pinning the Cardinals deep in the 2nd half when the offense would get stopped.
  16. The disparity between team's local TV deals is a major killer. Some teams are making hundreds of millions of dollars more a year in revenue based solely off of that. That's what allows teams like the Dodgers to spend 300+ million dollars a year on players and still make a profit, where as the teams like the Tigers would likely be in the red if they even came close to that figure.
  17. I personally would rather play at Houston just because we've played Baltimore 6 times now in the past couple weeks. I feel like that type of familiarity with our pitching staff could hurt us since our staff outside of Skubal and maybe a couple others don't rely on raw stuff to get you out but location and keeping you off balanced. I think the more times you see guys like that the better your chances are to get to them. Have no data to back that up though.
  18. Campbell just said that it's a sprained ankle. Pretty vague answer since depending on the location and severity of it you could be talking no time missed or a month plus missed. Lets hope it is the former.
  19. Putting the blood of a possible head injury to a Lions defender on the hands of the Lions Offensive coordinator was wild even by his standards.
  20. Yeah, Las Vegas won in Baltimore last week and this week got destroyed by the Panthers. You just never know week to week what team you will be getting.
  21. Lamar Jackson looking like Jared Goff as he pulls off a clutch 3rd down conversion with his legs to secure the Baltimore victory.
  22. Any time the ball is thrown in Arnold's direction I immediately am expecting a flag if there is an incompletion.
  23. To be fair Nessler and Danielson have been calling the SEC for years, seeing these offenses must be like taking Ambien to them.
  24. Shades of the Denard Robinson days except Denard was a unicorn runner.
