The bigger issue in Portland is not how many police there are but that they are operating under the policies of the their far left city council. In other words they are standing around and doing nothing but protecting the left wing radicals that are blocking streets, harassing and at times inciting violence on anyone that doesn't agree with them and harboring illegal aliens. There was video showing some left wing loon attacking a guy in a Charlie Kirk shirt. The guy in the Kirk shirt defended himself and was arrested while nothing was done to the left wing loser.

This is why I don't think there is any chance that Skubal signs an extension with Detroit before becoming a FA unless he really wants to stay. I still think its best to see what he can bring in a trade this winter and if not good enough hold on to him and see what happens after 2026 season.

People that immigrate legally to the US are staying. The illegal aliens that invaded the country are being tossed out. This no kings stuff is hilarious. If the Biden admin would have done their job then President Donald J. Trump wouldn't have to fix all the problems they created.

Hamas are a terrorist organization. There will always be one faction or another doing something despite these agreements. I think the peace deals will stop the large scale fighting for now. Hopefully it will last and people can live in peace.

I agree. I think he's overrated and I would like see what other teams would give for him. Actually I would be open to trade anyone on the team except Carpenter. I'm not saying trade the whole team, just one or two guys if they can get a good return. I wouldn't consider trading Carpenter because he is the only player on the team that opposing teams fear at the plate and thats the kind of player they need. Tigers also need a top everyday third baseman and of course pitching help. I fear Harris will hit the FA market and overpay every old, washed up players he can find who will not perform or be on the IL most of the season. I would also be open to replacing Hinch.

Since Biden admin managed to keep Trumps kangaroo court trial in an ultra liberal area where they knew he didn't stand a chance and with a judge that was owned by the democrats, they should move Comey and James' trial to nice conservative rural area where they will get the same treatment.

I do remember that and it was awesome. Trump was cleaning up the crime and disaster caused by the open borders under the Biden administration and the democrat mayors and governors that ignored their citizens and allowed the crime to happen. Its also too bad that Nancy Pelosi, who was in charge of capital security that didn't want the help on January 6. She probably thought it wasn't needed because they had 257 FBI agent imbedded in the crowd. She didn't think the FBI agents would have stirred up as much trouble as they did.

I think Skubal can't go winless against the Mariners this year so they will pull through on Friday. The bigger concern is Seattle with go with the best on the mound and Tigers already have trouble with their offense. It could be a 1-0 game.

The people that commit these terrible crimes are not just conservative white males. Over the last few years a lot of them have been committed by people that call themselves trans and are liberals. People that commit such crimes have severe mental problems. @chasfh I don't think anyone has stopped talking about the church shooting any sooner than other mass murders. I still see new information about it posted on different news sites including Foxnews. It made the normal news cycles and now they are on to something else unless there is new information about it. I think both comments are more about trying to get something to fit your political agenda than what is actually happening.

That would increase crime because criminals wouldn't have to worry about the law abiding firearm owner defending themselves. Besides the criminals don't follow laws and would still have guns.

Who in the US owns automatic firearms? They are very rare to be owned by normal citizens, take a long time to get approval to buy one - usually a couple years, and very expensive to purchase. Last one I heard of for sale was $22,000.

I've got waaaay too much time invested this season so I'll see it through to the end. I'm not a fair weather fan but it doesn't mean I can't be disappointed in their play or choices made by management. I'm still hopeful and it ain't over until it over! You are 100% correct. Their record at the end of the season was right about where we put them at. Maybe I expected too much after such a great first half. The let down comes from sub .500 baseball they've been playing and not just the lack of quality players at the deadline but the less than quality players they did add to the team. It was almost like they sunk the team on purpose.

Firearms don't kill people, people kill people. Taking away firearms (and its something that will never happen) would only cause people to change their method. How many guns did McVeigh use? None and bombs are illegal. Do you think people will suddenly have a change of heart about killing or violence if their method of causing it changes? No, they will just change how they do it. People will no longer be able to defend themselves against aggressors. I know the lefties think people should not be able to defend themselves and should just laydown and die but that won't happen either. Eliminating firearms would only cause more problems and the vast majority of gun owners would never give up their guns anyway. Remember what happened when Germany didn't allow the Jewish people to own firearms in the 1930's. So far I've not heard any good argument why firearms should be eliminated.

With the collapse the TIgers had along with how bad they have been playing I don't see anything to celebrate. Even though they made the playoffs I still see this season as a huge letdown.
