In the last two week I've lost a friend and two co workers to Covid. All have been vaccinated but apparently had underlying conditions or were 60+ years old. I hope the treatments that have been approved the last couple days have a positive result on the virus since the vaccines may help but don't appear to be the end all. There is some discussion on the latest variant not being as severe and may not last as long. I read somewhere that it might already be dying out in South Africa.

You're being rediculous and I don't even know why I'm answering you. There is no unbiased media anymore. They all have an agenda and some are worse than others. I'm talking about the media outlets in general and not specific shows like Tucker Carlson, Don Lemon, Rachel Maddow etc. Those are not news shows but opinion shows and at least Sean Hannity admits he's not a journalist.

First, they didn't end the filibuster, they used the nuclear option. If they wouldn't have the democrats would never agree to approve anyone. Dont forget it was the democrats that used it first to get their people in. The Republicans also did not pack the Court. They filed vacancies the were open due to deaths and retirement. The three appointed under Trump are still nowhere near as political as Sotomayor who is trying to be as bad as Ginsburg. Nobody should want the filibuster eliminated. When one party has all three chambers its the only power the minority party has. If the democrats eliminate the filibuster they will change everything to favor them and the country will be lost for all of you worried about our democracy. @1984Echoes dude you live on your own planet and I'm not giving anymore time to someone who advocates hatred and violence as you've done.

Perhaps Manchin and Sinema do recognize the danger our democracy is in and are the ones saving it by being against eliminating the filibuster, packing the Supreme Court and Federal Election law bill H.R.1. If those were to pass our country would be in trouble.

You're not paying attention if you don't think CNN is a liberal outlet. They're no different than any other media in that they are biased in their reporting. The current administrations blunders are so bad and obvious that even the liberal media has to report on it.

It sounds like you want to penalize all gun owners because of a few idiots. I'm not too worried about it because we will never give up firearms or have them confiscated. There are millions of firearm owners in the US and it'ss one of the few issues that will make liberals vote against democrats.

If a background check works and they do, why do we need a waiting period. I have been in a gun store more than once and saw where a person what not allowed to purchase a firearm. Most gun owners are educated in firearms and firearm safety. Any firearm owner that legally carries a conceal firearm in Michigan is licensed to carry it. I don't keep up on laws in other states but some have more relaxed carry laws. Why do people need insurance to own a gun? Is that something that you want to make it more expensive to own a firearm that is not necessary? I get it you don't like guns, are scared of them or both. It doesn't make it wrong for other people to own them that don't have the same issues you do.

Roe was instituted in the mid 1970's. There's a lot more medical technology today that could give them better information on development. Also, as I mentioned there is no Constitutional amendment that gives a woman a "right" to an abortion. There is a Constitutional right to own and bear arms. I think the problem with abortion issues is the all or nothing mentality. The left wants mass abortions with drive through abortion clinics when they service anyone. The right want a 100% ban on abortions. I am against abortion, or lets say mass abortion. I believe they should be allowed for medical reasons or in cases of rape or incest. I don't believe abortion should be a means of birth control.

Its always different when the problem personally affects them and the problem is their own backyard. They don't care about someone elses back yard.

I think their problem will be is in their definition of assault weapon. There really is no such thing as an assault gun but these liberals that don't know anything about firearms believe it has to do with how a rifle looks. I can show two rifles that look completely different but they fire the same ammunition at the same rate and have the same capacity. However, one is looked at as an assault rifle and the other is not. They also need to remember their is an Amendment to the US constitution that allows people to own firearms. I don't recall an Amendment for a right to have abortions. The United States would be better off if California just left the union and became their own country or the could become part of Mexico. That way they wouldn't have millions of illegals living in their state.

That's exactly why I keep saying that election security is important.

Dead people vote every election. Even Bob Dole said he plans to vote in the next election in Chicago. 😊
