If you look at things objectively and not with partisan blinders on you will see the truth better. Presidents get wrongly blamed for things and then given credit for things they have nothing to do with. It won't ever change and we see it everywhere including right here on this forum.

If you look back at my comment I didn't say a policy change cause the supply chain issues. I said I thought three things contributed to inflation in the US and that would be covid, supply chain issues and policy change.
-
I think you are a little off topic under the gun thread 😊 I did see the list of EO orders that Younkin signed and I didn't see anything major so this probably a partisan complaint on Fred's part. Maybe it was the part about establishing a committee on anti-Semitism. That hits home with a lot of dems.

Boris Johnson has been in office for a few years now. Has he changed any policy that would cause inflation? I don't know the answer but inflation in his country is probably due to similar reason it is in the US. I think inflation in the US started to increase soon after Biden took office. Is it 100% his fault? I wouldn't say it is but some of his policies contributed to it. Covid and supply chain issues are a big part of the problem. Biden takes a hit on this because he said he would get covid under control and that the supply chain issues would be fixed. That's never happened and covid is way worse than its ever and the supply chain issues are also as bad as ever. Biden would have been better saying nothing than trying to take credit for something that he thought would or might happen. His "talk" with the longshoreman didn't do anything. Great Britain is also seeing record Covid numbers so that's probably a big contributor to the problem.

I must care what you say since I respond to you. This is an opinion board and we are trading opinions. I will say the thing I said about the DirectTV/OAN thing has been very misunderstood. At this point I would agree to disagree and move on.

Actually changing Senate rules is more a danger to the democracy of the US. We found out last week it was 10 guys in fatigues that trained in their moms backyard that are accused of doing something at the Capitol. That hasn't even been proven yet. The rest of the people were protestors and if you go by the democrat definition they were peaceful protestors. I have a better chance of winning every powerball lottery for the rest of the year than those 10 guys had of succeeding. I don't think there is a force big enough anywhere in the world to overtake the US government. On the other hand if the dems eliminate the filibuster they will push through anything they want and one of those things is the voting rights fallacy bill that will take power away from the states and enable them to make their own rules for the elections. Their new voting rules will heavily favor democrats and the chance of any other party winning an election again would be slim to none. Who knows what else they will push through and its scary if you look at their track record now. They are not working for the US or the American citizens. They want to go to war with Russia over Ukraine but won't lift a finger to protect the US border. If things were reversed and Republicans were pushing for Senate rule changes you would be having a fit.

I'm not complaining about DirectTV dropping OAN. I could really care less since I've actually never watched it. I'll say it for the third or fourth time I was commenting on the post made about wanting to get rid of all right wing media. Liberals love to silence the opposition! This link shows the rating of ALL cable networks. Fox News viewership is down in 2021 because it wasn't an elections year but is still number one, even ahead of ESPN. Fox News viewership is a little less than CNN and MSNBC combined. https://www.yahoo.com/entertainment/124-cable-channels-ranked-average-193000903.html?fr=sycsrp_catchall

That's funny but its far from being Lauren Boebert. Just a young kid that hasn't been taught much about her parents car. Since she's a young person chances are she's a democrat supporter since most are. See why I don't have much hope for the younger generation and the future of our country.
-
The same could be said for the liberal media. They support ending the filibuster and the dem's voting fraud bill that will allow them to rule the country forever which would end the democracy. The dems loved the filibuster when they were the minority but hate it now because they can't push through their power hungry attack on the American people.
-
How are they worse than CNN, MSNBC or all of the msm? These outlets like to campaign openly for the democrats, ignore things that make the dems look bad and report half truths to lead their minions around by the nose to make them think the democrats are actually for the US and the American citizens. Have you ever asked yourself why Fox News is the highest rated cable news network by a long way.

See my comment above.

Yep I agree. What channels a company airs is all about how much it costs them and how many viewers they get in return. I can see where you are coming from but I wasn't referring to a business decision with my comment. I was referring to the "one down two to go" comment. If someone doesn't like something then don't watch. The idea of wanting to shut down one side of the political media because you don't like their message is wrong in my opinion.

Ahhh, the age old democrat game plan....silence the opposition.

In the link provided Michigan was 10th in the number of deaths. I think they are also right around the 10th most populous state so that would be about normal. Here is another link that basically backs up the other info. https://www.worldometers.info/coronavirus/country/us/

The same one that the democrat candidates crawl out of.

A lot of Americans find it interesting that the Biden administration is more concerned about the Ukrainian border than the US border. I wish there was as much concern for our southern border.
-
Your choice to led around blind by your political leaders. I just know people can't increase their knowledge with their head in the sand.
-
I don't know if more people would be vaxxed if Trump was in office. Dem supporters would be against it then. Harris and a few other dems started this when they said they weren't taking any vaccine that came from the Trump admin.
-
You're right about a party that is actively working toward single party rule but where you're wrong is that is the democrats doing that. The democrats like everything slanted in their favor. They have debates where their candidates are helped by moderators or the candidates are given questions in advance. When Trump and Biden had interviews at the same time on different networks, Savanah Guthrie basically tried to get Trump in a street fight while George S. asked Biden what his favorite ice cream flavor was. Biden has a "town hall" on CNN and Anderson Cooper is helping him answer questions. Never would that happen to a Republican. Now we have the dems trying to change voting laws to favor them and change the senate rules so they can do as they please. Who would have thought the Joe Manchin and Kristen Sinema would be the two politicians that end up saving the democracy. I hope they stand firm on their word and the dem hit squad doesn't get to them.
-
You probably won't have to worry about Biden participating in any future debates. They only want the candidates to debate and he won't be one. Seriously, its about time the Republican party took a stand on these biased moderators and debate rules. I think one of the new rules should be that the candidate has to answer the question or at least talk on topic or the mic gets turned off. All are guilty of that. I know each claim victory after a debate but their claim means nothing. Its the opinion of the viewer/voter that counts. Usually the winner is obvious too.
-
They can't do that. Debates are the best part of the campaign. They do need to make sure they have impartial moderators though. Some take sides too much and its very obvious. I can't remember the ladys name and she might of been from CNN at the time but she was terrible. It was during the Obama Romney election and this lady started backing up Obama. He didn't need much help with Mitt but he got it. Mitt did make a good point during that debate that Russia was our biggest threat. Obama disagreed but later found out Mitt was right.
-
I can't remember the last time I've seen our local government at work. They're usually too busy with self promotion.

There is the state ID. It should be free if it isn't. I know some people have trouble getting around but most people get out now and then. Its not a "right wing" thing to support but I like the appointment system at the SOS. As long as you can get an appointment in a reasonable amount of time it worked good. I hate going there and waiting 3 hours to get a license plate.
-
My favorite is when I worked at the union. They supported elections without photo ID. Funny thing was that when you voted in a union election they required a photo ID to vote. You couldn't even use your membership card because it didn't have a photo.
-
I completely agree they need to be easy to obtain. In Michigan you need SS card, birth certificate and bank statement to get your first drivers license. I was surprised when I took my kids for theirs. After you have one you usually just renew by mail. I don't know what is like if you're coming from out of state.
