For some reason some of you think lack of national security is a joke. I don't think any of the people that have lost family members to first attack on the WTC or 9/11 attacks think its funny. You're more worried about a a few back woods Trump supporters at the Capitol than Islamic terrorists setting off a nuclear weapon in a major US city. Like I said before if it hits home with you, (and I truly hope it doesn't) maybe you will think differently. I would rather be proactive instead of reactive and I don't care about hurting the feeling of foreigners including those on the northern border if it makes our country safer.

Why should we wait for an attack on the scale of 9/11 before do something? These people that want to do bad things need to get in the country and its well known thats its easy to through the southern border.

You really needs some good waders on before you go in there.

Hope your wife is doing well. The guy at the hospital was probably right that everybody has it the way its spreading through everyone right now.

https://news.yahoo.com/suspected-terrorists-crossing-border-level-174700735.html How many made it in the country we don't know about? Why doesn't anyone care and just make excuses. Can we be too safe?

Don't forget BLM and Antifi. They've caused more violence and damage than right wing groups.

These were the first two from a quick search. Plenty more available. https://americanmilitarynews.com/2021/12/biden-admin-deletes-own-reports-of-terrorist-arrested-in-us-after-crossing-southern-border/ https://www.foxnews.com/us/saudi-arabian-terrorist-nabbed-mexico-border-yemeni-border

So you don't mind crime, drugs and terrorists walking accross the border. I guess its one of those things people will loyallly follow their political party on until their family or themselves is effected.

A lot have been put on planes and buses and shipped around the country.

Unfortunately the wall was never finished. Had it been it would have helped. Last I knew Abbott was trying to get it completed in Texas. A border wall has been supported by both sides of the aisle until Trump pushed it, then all the dems were against it. There is plenty of video of Biden and his party members supporting a border wall. This is a great example of how low the politics of this country has gone. When the two sides can't come together to do the right thing to protect the country something is wrong. Now the dems want to show how wrong Trump was they've basically opened the border.

The number of illegals crossing into the US was a little over 2 million in 2021 from what I've read. Someone added an extra "0". Is anyone here concerned about this? This does nothing but bring harm and trouble to our country. I get it that some of them are just hard working people looking for help but there are legal ways to get in the US. Besides those people there are plenty of other people coming across the border to do bad things like drugs, crime and terrorism. They are not all Mexican or Central American's either. Then there is the health crisis they bring. Many American's are mandated to get the Covid vaccination but these people are required nothing. They are shipped around the country live off from us basically. Its a drain and a danger to all of us and the country.

No regular meds. I end up taking a steroid when things act up. I hate the side of effects of them. I used to be able to take any med without getting side effects. Now that I'm older I get every side effect listed. I'm a little uneasy about the monoclonal antibody treatment but from what I can find online it looks safe.

Even though I've had the vaccination and the booster this hasn't been pleasant. Since I have lung issue my doctor has me set up to get the antibody treatment. If its this bad with the vaccine I would hate to do this without it.

I've had Vicodin after surgery too. It didn't do anything for the pain but just made me tired.

Thanks everyone....It was a very rough night but so far better today.

All this talk about covid and now I sit here waiting my test results. Whatever I got, it came on fast today. I was able to get a test to find out if its covid but I've got all the classic symptoms except loss of smell and taste and I feel terrible. Hopefully if it is covid the the two shots of Phizer and the Phizer booster will help me get past it.

I still think you are seeing the markets and the economy reacting to the country, or at least parts of it reopening from covid shutdowns. Its not that Biden or his people had much to do with it other than it was mostly blue states that shut down for longer periods. I think some shutdowns were done to hurt Trump and the economy. Covid is as bad as ever now and I haven't seen any talk of shutdowns or the plan Biden had to get us out of the pandemic that he campaigned on. Maybe he forgot? On the other hand Biden probably hasn't done a lot to hurt the economy either. What he's doing to hurt the country, like the invasion on the uncontrolled southern border doesn't impact the markets or economy. If his BAN (bankrupt America now) plan was to pass that could hurt the economy.

That's what happened to me yesterday. My daughter came to dinner and about half way through dinner she mentions she was congested, sore throat, etc. I'm always happy to see my kids but I couldn't believe she came to dinner not feeling well. She says she only has a cold because she didn't lose smell or taste. I told her that's not always the case and she needed to find out if she has a cold or covid.

One of the bigger problems is that Covid has become political. That's the worst thing that could have happened. Covid infects people of all political beliefs without discrimination. I also understand how people can have reservations about a vaccine that was developed in a short amount of time. Those people should be discussing their concerns with their doctor and not a politician.

I don't want to repeat myself so read my previous posts. It explains he is not pointing a gun at anyone as its a holstered firearm and being safely withdrawn. Also I am far from an expert. I just have a bit of experience that sounds like most people here don't have. I'm speaking from experience and knowledge where a lot of people here are guided by their feelings and or politics.
-
I think most people thought the vaccine would prevent someone from getting Covid -much like a flu shot - and the vaccine would get us past the pandemic. I didn't mean it was going to end covid because I think Covid is here for a long time if not forever.

I don't know what thread to put this in so I'm going to put it here.... I have to go finish wrapping presents then going to visit parents for Christmas. We've also scaled back but have not completely eliminated things. Its just immediate family and not the big extended group. Anyway, I hope everyone can set their political differences aside for a while and I wish all of you a safe and Merry Christmas!

That was the general thought when they came out

I can't see exactly what kind of firearms these are but its very possible they have an internal safety which is very common. You can also see that his finger is not on the trigger or in the trigger guard. His actions with the chest holster is safe and wouldn't be an issue in any class I've been part of. Since he's in a wheelchair a waist holster wouldn't work for him. The chest or body holster is not real popular outside of military since its mostly an open carry device. I will retract my comment on the guy filming. He could be in a better position but if you watch the video he is making it does make it look like he is on his side rather than front side. I doubt that going to the range and firing multiple firearms has anything do with bravado or failed marriage.
