  1. NIL is still developing and there’s still a huge grey area when it comes to how much the school can actively participate in regards to recruiting. As an example, USC has a robust NIL development team that is tied to the school. They will market players and help them get deals but they refuse to talk specifics with recruits. They can show them what other players in the program are getting but they won’t write down a number for that recruit until after they join. The schools with outside alumni run collectives can use the legal bag man route during recruiting and pretty much put together a contract while recruiting a player. There’s some thought that once NCAA gets its arms around NIL compliance they will come down hard on schools that have taken advantage of the alumni cash loophole. I really doubt that will happen but it is scaring some schools. They may make new rules but won’t go back and punish teams who broke them these past few years.
  2. It’s a bigger miss for Mel. Ideally, both teams want to keep the top rated player from the state at home. They will probably get another shot at him in a year or two via portal.
  3. Apparently this was a guy that flipped from Baylor to Oregon.
  4. Surprised that UM or MSU didn’t get more involved here when Oregon started to fall apart. Also saw that Graham Mertz is moving to Florida from Wisconsin and ND. Can’t figure out why he keeps getting these good options.
  5. Let it be noted that I tried to add to the conversation by adding a link to the famous “Bills fans throw dildo on the field” video but YouTube blocked it.
  6. Agree. There’s only one scenario that could possibly play out that would really disappoint me. I won’t get into it except to say it involves a last drive situation with a certain player in the last game of the season.
  7. What keeps me on an even keel around here is that I think so little of most of you. 😱 In all seriousness, the quest to “be right” can be overwhelming and that inability to being open to other viewpoints is often where our conflict arises. I agree that the ignore feature even if just temporary is a valuable thing.
  8. Anzalone has been noticeably better the past 6 weeks. He’s been solid instead of a giant liability. He definitely deserves so credit.
  9. One thing that continues to impress me is how many times the first option is wide open on crucial 3rd and 4th downs. This is great play design and play calling by the coaching staff. It keeps happening at least once every game.
  10. Lions open as 3 point favorites on the road next week in Carolina.
  11. What a great fucking game. Good teams win ugly. This in-season turnaround has been nothing short of amazing.
  12. Shitty first half and they are tied. Have to take some positives from that..
  13. Lions go get it today. Jets defense what? Lions 34 Jets 20 Jamo strikes again and Swift looks dangerous.
  14. The French should change their national anthem so that it just continues into All You Need Is Love
  15. I like France 2-1. Messi and Mbappe score.
  16. Seems like a no brainer. He’s going to make more money in NIL next year at UM than he would as a day 3 draft pick. He will also have a legit chance at the Heisman, which creates lifetime earning potential.
  17. Google BYU Soaking and Jump Humping.
  18. Interesting pro football game that just ended. Safe to say Indianapolis will be looking for a new coach.
  19. I feel bad for Jim Irsay’s sobriety.
  20. Kevin O’Connell is such a trash coach.
  21. Michigan Medicine is at such a high standard that their doctors should not be questioned is the same mindset that allowed Dr. Anderson to operate for more than 4 decades.
