  1. I don’t get Northwestern. They care enough to stay in the B1G even though they’d probably dominate in most sports if they moved to a lower conference. At the same time, they don’t care enough to have any accountability for Pat Fitzgerald and have essentially given him a job for life. Same for Chris Collins on the basketball side.
  2. I don’t expect NW to continue to play mistake free football. I’ve got OSU 28-7final
  3. It’ I just fired on OSU -13.5.
  4. I should’ve listed Bama in my list of teams they believe in more than I do. I think Saban loses at least once more but at the same time wouldn’t be shocked to see them clean it up and finish up looking like a contender. How Oregon finishes will play a big role in this thing too. If they run the table, it will make it really hard to leave out a 1 loss Georgia who curbstomped them.
  5. 3 guys on ESPN Gameday just said Georgia is out if they lose today. No way. They would need help but are very much still in the mix even with a loss. These guys believe more in TCU and Clemson than I do.
  6. I’d guess Georgia. Their schedule the rest of the way seems light. If they lose today, they will probably end with just that loss and still make it. It may be an easier road to the playoff for the Dawgs with a loss today since they’d miss the SEC champ. Tennessee is new I this role and has a tougher schedule. Two factors that make them seem more likely to possibly lose again after today and be eliminated with 2 losses. A blowout either way will help though.
  7. There is a perfect solution for the many the appreciate the mastery of Dylan’s songwriting and composition but can’t get over the vocal. Grateful Dead There are at least 30 Dylan covers that became a regular part of the live setlist for either GD or Jerry Band. Jerry and Bob’s voices work so well with these songs like Tangled Up in Blue, When I Paint My Masterpiece, Queen Jane Approximately, Memphis Blues Again, and It’s All Over Now, Baby Blue.
  8. I’m going to be pissed if Netflix pulls Uncle Drew.
  9. I can’t tell if Brad is emphasizing he didn’t care about trading within the division or that he was going to move Hock regardless to not fitting their long term plans. I sense a little vibe that the organization felt the individual and his commitment were also a little underwhelming to their expectations
  10. Quite possible. I wonder if Georgia was the #1 team, does the bias of not wanting a repeat of last years game hurt UM’s chances.
  11. Interesting to wonder how a 1 loss Michigan or Ohio St. would match up among possible 1 loss Pac-12 teams: USC will not go undefeated the rest of the way. The combination of terrible defense (it is still a Lincoln Riley team) and Pac-12 officiating will trip them up at least once. If by some miracle they win out, they may be the biggest contender with the only blemish a 1 point loss at Utah in a game they didn’t have Jordan Addison for most of the crucial 2nd half. UCLA would be right there too but would probably need Oregon to beat Utah to qualify for the P12 championship. They would have avenged their only loss at Oregon by 15 in the championship game. They do have that ugly win against South Alabama by a single point that could be the difference in a close battle. Oregon would end up with a great resume and very strong SoS overall. There will be some very big wins in there especially down the stretch but I’m not sure if they can make up for 49-3 loss to Georgia to open the season. Would probably come down to how close the UM/OSU game ended. Utah is already out with 2 losses but they are the best friend of UM and OSU and can easily ruin some and possibly all of the above scenarios.
  12. Last week I thought a UM win over a 1 loss Illinois team would get them in even with an OSU loss but that doesn’t appear to be so without a ton of help. Clemson and TCU would need to lose and Oregon or Utah would have to be the team to come out of the Pac. I could see UM being the 4th in that scenario if they lost to OSU.
  13. Looking like 2 SEC teams, Winner of B1G, and either Clemson or P12 Champ or TCU
  14. Furman is ranked high in FCS. They are better than Colorado St. and Hawaii.
  15. I’d give us C+ and the Vikes a B+ The Vikes were able to get a quality TE to replace their inured quality TE without having to give up any draft picks. That’s a nice move for them. We were able to get something for a slightly above average player who was going to see his salary rise by $9M next year before wanting a long term deal worth much more. We were also able to improve draft position.
  16. We have no idea. I took this to mean that depending on the condition, we either throw in an extra 4th or we don’t. Unknown at this point if that is correct or not.
  17. NFL deadline day is starting to become something!
  18. I understand this viewpoint but the NFL has a compensatory draft pick program and it’s quite possible they could’ve picked up an extra 3rd, 4th, or 5th draft pick had he left after next season. As it stands now, they may not actually get any additional picks from trading Hockenson. I will add the caveat that I expect the Lions to be in serious FA acquisition mode after 2023 and it’s quite possible they will acquire more FA than they lose and wouldn’t qualify for any additional picks.
  19. I get this as well but the return wasn’t that strong and we are trading him in division. He’s actually in his 4th year and the team had him under control for another year. Waiting a year would’ve possibly presented some other options for the team. End of the day, I don’t hate this deal and part of me likes the fact Brad had the balls to pull it off.
  20. The other option was to play the hand out a little further. Keep him and see if he could develop into an elite TE the rest of this season and next. They could try to trade him at the deadline next year too. Worst case, he walks in FA and maybe they get a compensatory pick down the road.
  21. Interested to learn the terms of the conditional pick in 2024. Think it was smart to trade him but I would’ve preferred a return that included any additional picks rather than just moving up a few rounds, especially for a trade in the division.
  22. Harbaugh’s personality probably has escalated it back up again. If this was the typical football fight with pushing and shoving, Valenti and Rico may have had some merit. What happened in that tunnel went way, way beyond. That’s not on Jim Harbaugh. There’s just no justification for that behavior at all. Period.
  23. Which Lions team shows up is anyone’s guess.
