  1. 3,000 years of beautiful tradition
  2. I predict today will be forever known as the Parker Meadows game. Jack White will be sitting next to Geddy Lee on Sunday while Mike McCready watches them on TV.
  3. Don’t forget the pain of blowing the series to the same manager that walked out on them because the Cubs were a better opportunity. I’d feel for their fans but they’re all Packers fans, so ****’em.
  4. I’m a bit surprised by Montreal. They’ve gotten very, very lucky in rebuilding from 22 to wins to the playoffs in just 3 seasons instead of the normally accepted 8 or 9 years it takes to do it.
  5. So brainwashed and unable to think for yourself. Anything anti-trump is immediately labeled left and discarded. I’m not the left. I’ve never used the term genocide in reference to Gaza. I’m anti king. I believe in “of the people, by the people, for the people” and that absolute power corrupts absolutely.
  6. This is not a peace deal. It’s a temporary truce tied to a ridiculously disproportionate prisoner exchange done only to try and win a ridiculous prize to boost his narcissistic need for ridiculous constant ego worship. This deal bolsters Hamas and gives them much needed reinforcements to keep their terror operations going strong for years to come. More than 250 violent terrorists serving lengthy or even life sentences will be released. The next few Sinwars are certainly in this group and will soon be plotting the next attacks. Hamas will never hand over their weapons or permanently close the tunnel network. This truce will fall apart quickly with no cease fire deal and will lead to an increase in violence for years to come. Hamas was on the ropes and close to going down but Trump rang the bell to save them.
  7. So I hear there’s a little game in Los Angeles on Saturday. It’s a got to have it game for both teams. Probably a little more for USC because the schedule is harder. Whoever loses here will need a to have a significant upset victory and some additional outside help to get in the playoff. SC had a week off to get healthy and make tweaks. Hard to tell from the box scores but the defense is actually quite better than past years. CB was the weak spot coming into the year and it’s been decimated with injuries. Freshman forced into the lineup that shouldn’t be playing yet have been abused. Michigan has had a slow start developing its receivers but made strides last week so this is probably a good matchup for both teams. The front 7 has been great but lacks discipline and is prone for dumb penalties and the occasional missed assignment. That plays right into UM hands as one of the RB’s will almost certainly pop a long one before the end of the day. The OL has been solid and that’s opened up the offense. QB looks legit and has a ton of high end skills but then again at times so did Miller Moss, Kedan Slovis, JT Daniels, and on and on. He could end up a star but he’s got to keep doing it on Saturdays. Makai Lemon is Puka Nacua. He’s currently outplaying Jeremiah Smith and Carnell Tate as the best WR in the conference. He’s been doing it without Jakobi Lane fully healthy on the other side. Lane is supposedly 100% after the week off. Toughest test on the schedule for the Michigan DB’s. This is a game that SC should win at home against a team that doesn’t feature the pass with an inexperienced QB. The problem is that Lincoln Riley teams just don’t close. In fact, they straight out choke when the game is on the line. Riley has coached 45 games at USC and amazingly he has lost 8 games where they were tied or ahead with 2:00 to go in the game. It’s hard to fathom. Just like last year, Michigan comes back and wins a game they had no business winning. Michigan 37 USC 35
  8. They have pitch com now. Tiger catchers should be putting fake signs down in this situation so it actually confuses the batter more.
  9. MLB with an interesting schedule predicament when the Tigers win this game. ALCS Game 1 is in Toronto on Sunday at a TBD time on Fox. I’ve got to assume they want Sunday ALCS on big Fox and they have NFL games at 1:00 and 4:25. Prime time at 8:00 would be ideal but it puts it up against Lions vs Chiefs which will be a problem In Detroit. It’s also a marquee game on its own and will be widely watched across the country.
  10. I’m sure they’re just salivating at the thought of sharing our exciting brand of baseball with a national audience.
  11. Exactly how many of us felt when you were creating Tiger game threads.
  12. I think it’s highly unlikely that college football exists in 2046. Get the money now why they can. AI will kill the current university model that has existed for the past 150 years unless radical changes are made to tuitions and curriculum. Neither of which will most likely happen because academia believes their history makes them invulnerable to dramatic change. It will be their death.
  13. It’s definitely radical leftist taggers. I’m not sure many are aware but this community is highly politically motivated. They aren’t as much about high visibility targets that will attract the most attention but about using their cryptic writing style to send definitive political statements.
  14. This has been the best umped game that I’ve seen in some time. This guy has been on it all day.
  15. You know what the worst part is about Yankee Stadium, right?
  16. Also on MLB network if you get that
  17. I didnt think about that incident but it’s another parallel. Rob Saleh interviewed for both jobs and was beaten out by Campbell & Coen because they interviewed better even though he had the more accomplished resume. I also look back at that first year MCDC and think he would’ve done the exact same thing Coen did if a guy who he beat out for the job started talking nonsense to the press insinuating that he was cheating. The tact of waiting until after the game was over to say the first thing about it indicates Coen doesn’t have a short fuse. That would’ve been the case had he gotten into some back and forth throug the press before the game after Saleh took his initial shot.
  18. I’m not sure I’ve seen more of a Campbell parallel than what we are seeing from Liam Coen. It’s like he’s studying Campbell and just following the playbook all the way from the awkward opening presser to what he said last night after the win.
  19. Don’t want to get political here but if Manfred wanted anything it would be a Tigers vs Phils/Brewers series.
  20. I thought we had covered this many times before. A hard and fast rule of this forum has always been as soon as Josh Hawley is used as support, it’s a declaration of surrender and an immediate loss of argument.
  21. Max Fried gets shelled for the Yanks and now Harrison Bader is injured and out of game 2 for the Phils. I think god is send a clear message to the Jews.
  22. Watching Carson Wentz is painful. Absolutely no self awareness as to the type of player that he is now. Still trying crazy throws on the run and from different arm angles that he just can’t make with any consistency anymore. He could be a serviceable backup if he could just stay within his capabilities.
  23. Our injuries at corner and LT lineup directly across from the few strengths that the Bengals have.
  24. Lol
