Bad memories as this Slovenia/Denmark game approaches. Seeing Christian Eriksen nearly die on the pitch in the opening game of the last Euros was maybe the most disturbing thing I’ve ever watched in sports.

LIV is barely a blip on the radar anymore. I wouldn’t be surprised if this is the last season and for sure next year if not. The PGA tour was forced to make a bunch of positive changes to its model in response to LIV that probably never would’ve happened otherwise. Just when you thought drafting Michael Penix at 8 couldn’t get any worse.

This is year four with Dan Campbell, Ben Johnson, ASB, 3/5 of the OL, and Jared Goff. You can add a few more that it’s year three and a few more with year two. There is chemistry and consistency there. A random swap for any other K in the league, even the best in the league, would cause question marks for the chemistry amongst those pieces. I don’t think the NFL works in a way that you can take a really good K and just insert him on another team and expect instant success. The kicking game has been built around and is designed to work for Michael Badgley.

Maybe but we have no idea what the money or fine print is on the contract. He’s still a rookie kicker with no NFL experience so the numbers can’t be that high even with competition for his services.

They are missing out on a huge opportunity by not doing a SCOTUS summer break reality show. I want the details on the Crow/Thomas getaway at an exotic resort, the fun interactions between the Alito’s and their beach house neighbors, and everyone can’t wait to see Kavanaugh and Squee crush brewskis at their high school reunion. This seems right up Mark Burnett’s alley.

I absolutely agree with you. I am not a fan of his at all. I’m trying to make sense of what could’ve happened understanding that it’s all speculative.

He was in his normal headspace in his time with Boston. His time with the Tigers was marred by the still unknown traumatic family event that caused him to drop out of baseball. I don’t think it’s a stretch to assume whatever happened still had a huge impact on his decision to reject the trade.

I think his head not being in a good place at the time and him not wanting to jump into the pressure cooker of the Dodgers in a pennant race also seems very believable. It’s all speculation and we will never know. What doesn’t make sense was the earlier assertion that ERod would’ve gone to the Dodgers if he was paid more money and that somehow fell on Scott Harris to make happen. Not sure how that would be the Tigers responsibility as the team trading an expiring contract.

I don’t accept any of it. This product sucks. Everyone from ownership all the way down has to accept some of the responsibility. I just think specifically blaming Harris for the failed ERod trade is a dumb hill to die on.
