  1. Your fault for reading anything from Lynn.
  2. Playoffs? We’re 11 games under .500 with 5 starting pitchers injured before mid-May. The season now is about the young players getting reps and hopefully some players emerge/surprise. Buckle up for a bumpy season, folks
  3. Anyone see Faedo’s fiancé on the tV broadcast? She looks like a cross between these two. Well done, Alex!
  4. Yes—agree that we will likely need to replace Grossman. I’ll assume Meadows and Greene have the other two spots. Internal candidates would be Hill, Daz and Baddoo, so this season is critical for them.
  5. I don’t see it. We still have Daz, Baddoo and Greene in the wings.
  6. I think we’ll see Reese Olsen or Garrett Hill before Fulmer moves into the rotation.
  7. TJ surgery has become a rite of passage for many pitchers these days. And many come back fine from it. Would suck to lose him for 18 months, but I’d like his chances to come back.
  8. Willi’s bat is heating up a bit, but would we send down Harold to make room?
  9. Is there an exception if you’re not trying to tank, but are just incredibly inept?
  10. He’s pitching like a guy who was drafted in the 28th round.
  11. Beau Brieske not fooling many. Hope the decision to play Willi in LF doesn’t backfire
  12. Where do you play Clemens? I don’t think he’s an upgrade to either Schoop and Candy, who have replicated their early season slump from last year. I do think they’ll start to hit soon. He might be an upgrade to Cabrera at DH, but that isn’t happening. At try this point, I think Clemens is an injury replacement at 2B or 3B, or trade bait.
  13. If Grossman goes on the DL, I’d prefer they promote Cameron and give him a bunch of AB’s. Time to step up.
  14. Have you considered a career with NASA?
  15. Are there any free agents remaining at a position of need, ie. Linebacker, and do we have any cap room to get one?
  16. Saw that, too. I was a bit nervous about him based on last year—concerned we had another Nick Quintana, but he looks much better so far. Colt Keith has looked good in West Michigan, too. Would be great if at least one of them pans out.
  17. Agree. He’s struggled a bit with the over his head pop-ups, but otherwise brings some athleticism to the position. Can’t dwell on an error or two. Too small of a sample size right now and he should only improve with more coaching and reps.
  18. Agree, but the Tigers seem to think he’s an option there. In reality, with a guy like Baez, perhaps it isn’t necessary cause he’s playing every day. If he has an injury, you can always dip into Toledo.
  19. Agree. I think it still happens when Reyes comes back.
  20. Remember in 1984 when they banned selling alcohol in the bleachers? (And even closed the bleachers for a period of time). When they reopened them, they only served L.A. (low alcohol) beer.
  21. I don’t see a fit for him. He doesn’t play SS, so he won’t replace Harold, who they seem to be OK plugging in there when necessary. Perhaps if Schoop were ever to go on the IL, but otherwise I don’t see the opportunity.
  22. Just got back from the game—I can’t wait until I’m able to tell my future grandchildren that I was there to see Angel DeJesus’ major league debut. Unforgettable!
