  1. As stated, Langford would need to play ahead of Greene and Carpenter. His toolset is more accessible via free agency. Clark, if he reaches his potential, will be a true #1-2 hitter, with high OBP and solid power, which we’ve lacked at the top of our lineup. And if saving on drafting him allowed us to draft and sign McGonigle, even better. No regrets.
  2. I like this. We all know how it turned out the last time.
  3. All 4 teams won tonight, in addition to the big squad SGL with 3 hitless IP w/West Michigan
  4. Kahnle looks like a position player throwing.
  5. We need another arm for the pen to pair with Vest for high leverage situations.
  6. They should have done it on May 5th
  7. Not great when the White Sox cut you.
  8. Looks like a potential new home for Nick Maton
  9. Quit fat-shaming our farmhands
  10. My HS friends and I would sit in the CF bleachers ($4) and just yell “Chester” until he acknowledged us, which he did on occasion. Impossible not to like. RIP, Chester
  11. Hurter? Wouldn’t dream of it.
  12. The scouting report on Rainer is good glove/power. The question has been how well he’ll hit. No reason he would need to move to 3B and way more valuable at SS if he can hit.
  13. Jobe should be on a short leash, but they probably want 5 innings from him with the doubleheader tomorrow.
  14. I don’t think so—he’s the better defender at SS than McGonigle. I think Kevin ends up at 2B.
  15. That concern is even more reason to demote Malloy over Jung.
  16. But he does love him some ex-Tigers
  17. Triple header. Get to call up 3 extra players. Do it, MLB!
  18. Keating and York were a bit bland. But, like Mario, they didn’t cause any unnecessary distractions or make it about them. Very straight forward. I’ll reserve judgment until I see how they replace them. My dreamcast on TV is Dickerson/Dirks in the booth with Petry and York or Kane on the postgame. Benneti has worn thin—kind of understand why the ChiSox ran him out. He’d probably be much better on radio where he couldn’t call attention to distractions outside of the game play, which he likes to do on TV.
