The team is young and came within an inning of the ALCS. I wouldn’t expect much turnover, coupled with many legitimate prospects knocking on the door.

Barring injuries, I don’t see a path to McKinstry getting significant playing time. And his roster spot could be vulnerable if Anderson, Lee, Cruz and/or Clark are pushing for a promotion at some point this season.

Love Max Clark. You Boomers need to get on board. He and McGonigle will routinely produce.380+ OBP’s at the top of our lineup.

Baez was one of the few guys that hit in the postseason and has had a nice spring. He’s safe, and hopefully will be a plus contributor.

I don’t see how they are related. Both can and should make the team. At this point, I don’t think they are concerned about how many AB’s Javy gets. He’ll still play a lot everywhere. If Javy and Vierling are largely bench/utility guys, do we really need Jones?

I think that McGonigle will be the starting SS, with Baez spelling him on occasion vs tough lefties. Keith will be the starter at 3B. Baez will get plenty of AB’s moving around in CF, SS, 3B and DH. Odd man out will be Wenceel.

We’ve accumulated some nice SS options in McGonigle, Rainer, Yost and Peck.
