  1. raymond has been shit this year. zadina looks the same: plays really well and cannot finish for shit. their bottom defensemen are awful. they lost to the fucking blackhawks. ridiculous.
  2. but bey and stewart are better than livers and duren. this team is very young and is going to lose a lot of games. they are 2 years away from the playin games, most likely.
  3. that was a sloppy period of play. the hawks are so bad that the wings are down three of their top forwards and theyre still miles better than the hawks.
  4. he looked to be in some serious pain.
  5. now larkin's hurt again. great.
  6. lions have had two weeks to prepare, i expect a good showing. (famous last words)
  7. harris has been decent. williams has done a job. reynolds has had flashes of decent play. youre right that those should all be counted as successes, imo. craig reynolds too. some of the corners have done solid work as udfa players. i wouldnt put anzalone and raymond in that category. i think those two are marginal nfl players and easily upgradeable.
  8. breshard perriman, dj chark (so far), the brockers trade, the trinity benson trade. failures. the anzalone and raymond re-signings are questionable as well. failing to upgrade linebacker has hurt them. i would add that the "getting the whole gang back together" offseason strategy from a 3-13-1 team and expecting different results has not been successful so far either. especially on defense. but again, this all must be taken in full context. 1) they are still rebuilding and still dont have the biggest piece of all: a qb; 2) it doesnt make a lot of sense to bring in big time free agent players if you dont expect to contend; 3) they are devastated by injuries to multiple key players on offense and defense.
  9. both things can be true: 1) the lions have signed free agents to be stop gaps in the rebuilding process; and 2) those signings have been failures.
  10. this is going to be a really fun season for you then! they get rid of the yoke that is russell westbrook after this season (btw, i never get tired of watching russ jack up wide open threes with 20 seconds left on the clock...the man has zero self awareness, its amazing) but they've traded every asset imaginable to "compete" in lebron's twilight. and they extended pelinka! the lakers are such a shitshow now.
  11. a couple observations: 1) that game was fun! 2) were going to lose a lot of games.
  12. theyre down 2 of their top 6 forwards by game 3. call up berggren.
  13. chark beginning to look like a waste of money. williams should be ready soon, which could alleviate the need for chark.
  14. that's the big club, right? cska moscow? or is he still in the lower levels?
  15. have you seen our baseball team?
  16. come on! we come on this site for less thoughtful, more reactionary and negative responses! 🙂
  17. his son is also the guy who hired millen in the first place, and sheila gave quinn and patricia an extra year when she first got there. i'm hopeful sheila will be different but lets see hownit works. she does have ford blood in her veins so you never know...
  18. a titanic battle tonight!
  19. livers is hurt again? he missed the end of his michigan career, most of his rookie season, and now he's hurt again. having hip issues is not a good sign.
  20. 1-16 might put him on a performance plan.
  21. they wish they could because he's wasting an asset in that franchise. they botched the name change. the stadium is garbage. they cant move to a new stadium because no one will touch them if snyder is involved. he's costing the league a ton of money. otoh, what do they get him for? a bad environment in the organization? hell, half the teams in the league have issues like that! looking at you, dallas. do they want to open that door to litigation and all that comes with it?
  22. that play is going to be on every red wings promotional intro at little caesars for a long time.
  23. notre dame drew 10 million when they played ohio state. they have less than 3 million for every other game on the schedule. in contrast, michigan has drawn over 4 million in every big ten game, and almost drew 4 million for colorado state. ohio state is the same. even sparty does better rating than notre dame in a lot of weeks. put notre dame in the big ten and you'll get over 10 million when they play ohio state and michigan, over 6 or 7 when the play penn state or michigan state or even wisconsin, and probably 3 million in every other game.
