  1. i dont know about campbell as a play caller. some of his calls have left a lot to be desired imo. that said, i think the lack of talent has a lot to do with that. i think they were fortunate that the vikings gave them that game. however, they are also unfortunate they havent won 3 or 4 games already.
  2. i think they'll start losing again very soon. honestly, theyre probably a better TEAM without green. he's selfish. he has a ton of upside but a lot to learn about stuff that cade seems to already know.
  3. houston is in a rebuild too and they've won 7 straight.
  4. well, this is different from me arguing that they should use their $17 billion endowment to defray some or most of the tuition costs, but yes, i agree with your premise (or what i took to be your premise) that costs have exploded. and you know why: administration. they have classes taught by adjuncts (or TAs) to whom they pay nothing while paying the advisor to the assistant dean for diversity and inclusion in the dental school 100k per year. THAT'S what your massive increase in tuition costs has gone to sustain: the enormous bureaucracy that has grown up around these universities. and i take your point on the gop "starving the beast" but its more than that. the beast of pensions has grown exponentially and is pushing out a lot of money that would have been spent on things like education because the state refuses to pay for them by increasing its revenues and refuses to cut any expenditure that might result in less pork for them to hand out. and that's as much (or more) a democrat problem with their love of expensive public sector unions as it is a gop problem of not wanting to increase taxes to pay for their previous spending sprees.
  5. what's the word on seider?
  6. https://publicaffairs.vpcomm.umich.edu/key-issues/tuition/general-fund-budget-tutorial/ michigan budgeted $1.7 billion in revenue from tuition and fees for 2022.
  7. ok. that has nothing to do with obscenely large endowments at universities who continue to charge obscenely large rates of tuition to students. if anything, assembling those huge endowments while refusing to use them to actually educate people should make you puke, not brag about michigan.
  8. if they're going to take a qb and they think they see something in one of the top guys this year, then do it with the rams pick. that way you get them under contract for four years with a fifth year option. corral, willis, or pickett seem to be the only options there. given the qb needs of other teams, i doubt they last until the lions second first round pick.
  9. kelly tripuka was definitely a basketball wizard.
  10. what does having a $53 billion endowment yet still charging people over 100k per year to attend your school have to do with valuing education? especially michigan, which is supposed to be a public school. having $17 billion in endowment while charging kids what they do runs against the educational mission on the institution. its obscene.
  11. let us not forget that tom brady was a high 4 * recruit and thought of as the best high school qb in california the year he declared. much better recruit than cade.
