  1. Which Workman can. I'd be surprised if it's not him.
  2. To answer my own question, Detroit’s payroll is $13 mil higher according to Sportrac
  3. Is the Red Sox payroll higher than Detroit this year?
  4. Holmes also said one the Rams picked Simpson at 13, they were pretty certain Miller would be there at 17.
  5. Don't look now but Greene (.874), Tork (.813), and Carpenter (.863) are now above .800 OPS - Along with McGonigle (.946) obviously.
  6. Flip side is they should come in more ready.
  7. I can get that the first few years of NIL, but once those are past, and guys are out of eligibility in college, you are going to have the same amount of guys coming in with more overall experience. So in other words, I don’t buy that it’s as extreme as they say in year 3-4 of NIL, and think that negative effect will continue to leasen over time.
  8. There are a bunch of articles today about how his slugging pct on pitches over 95 mph is like 16th overall out of 186 hitters with at least 100 plate appearances since the start of 2025. He's slugging .537 on such pitches (prior to 2025 he slugged in the .300's on 95+ mph)
  9. At least we won’t end up with Proctor
  10. Bain and Downs still on the board.
  11. Riley batted leadoff twice in 2025. Kerry hit leadoff 41 games-maybe he’s who you were thinking of.
  12. I think they would do what they need to make sure they are under the threshold, as the difference between a pick after the 1st for Skubal and maybe Mize compared to after the 4th is huge. So it definitely appears to limit any movement at the deadline, at least without $ going out.
  13. We did get McGonigle with $ saved from taking Clark at below slot instead of Langford.
  14. Clark Yes. McGonigle was a competitive balance pick, so all 32 teams had a chance at him. Rainer was pick #11 so in the top 1/2, but not at the very top.
  15. Not for ROY, they have to win ROY, but top 3 for MVP prior to arbitration eligibility.
  16. Right now it’s pretty close between the two. McGonigle plays the more premium position and plays it well. They both are doing well offensively. I’d be surprised if McGonigle doesn’t end up with the higher OPS, let alone the higher WAR.
  17. 😂🤣😂I don’t ever remember Tyler Collin’s even being a top prospect. Nor do I ever remember Iorg being can’t miss as I don’t think he was ever a top 100 prospect (although he was higher rated than Collin’s. just looked it up, Collin’s never had an OPS higher than .800 (in A ball) in the minors until .820 when he was sent down to Toledo in 2018. And he was a 6th round pick. Never can’t miss or a top prospect. Iorg was also a 6th round pick and never cracked a .740 OPS.
  18. He does have a 477 Ft HR and a lot of walks at least
  19. Definitely a no on 1st round, but I could see them drafting Riardon in the 4th or 5th if he’s there.
  20. AT 350 he's super athletic - almost Sewell like. -they ran a screen for him also. At 400 not so much. If they take him, I have to believe they are confident he is motivated enough to stay there. As an outsider, I'd be more confident in Blake Miller, but they have a lot more info than me.
  21. Yes, he’s definitely the most athletic freak available if he keeps his weight down.
  22. But he strikes out too much
  23. Well he has 4 walks in his first 9 PA’s including one of Zach Wheeler today, so he’s having solid at bats.
