I’m listening to another round of very loud thunderstorms today. Lots of lightning, lots of rain, plenty of noise. I’m keeping my fingers crossed that we don’t lose power. 🤞🏼

Tonight, I took advantage of some ripe tomatoes, EVOO, plenty of fresh basil, and garlic (& some red pepper flakes), and just boiled up some red lentil pasta. You don’t cook any of the other ingredients, just add it to the cooked/drained macaroni. I’d normally also add some freshly grated locatelli, but I wasn’t in a cheese mood. I love summer pastas.

Spaghetti pie was a staple growing up… whenever there was spaghetti or linguine leftover (& my mother always made plenty), you could guarantee this would show up a few days later. And we all loved it. Yours looks fantastic!👍

😄. Yeah, you need to ask for a black coffee… a regular means with milk&sugar, but that’s not new - I remember needing to order it black (so as to not have it w/milk&sugar) 45 years ago. Other than that, just the sheer number of ways to order coffee preparations makes your head spin. Kinda insane. 🤪
