  1. Someone on Tiger Twitter had a meltdown because Foley's first pitch was a ball....
  2. In essence.... follow the betting lines.
  3. Regarding Trump's "genius" at threading this topic... I'm pretty sure he's not even aware that these things are happening. He just works off of slogans. "Roe bad" "Leave it to states good". And that's the issue's sides and he's on the 'right' side. The mechanics are other people's problems.
  4. It's surely disappointing but what can you do? Nobody else from that draft is lighting it up. Nobody else on this team is lighting it up. Is it a Spencer problem or a team/org problem in not giving them the tools and support another club would? He knows as well as anybody here or on twitter what he's doing and not doing and needs to do.
  5. quite simply it's easy to push back on the "leave it to the states" argument by bringing up IVF. They left it to Alabama and IVF is now threatened. That's the logical extension of being anti abortion. No other statement is necessary.
  6. at the end of the day it's a problem, not to be fixed, but to be dealt with. How do you adapt? They've spent their life savings building a house in a hurricane zone and they can't sell it or the land. Pitchers will have to balance their drive for success with the "it can't happen to me" attitude. Teams will learn to measure the risk on certain pitchers and eventually will be more cautious with contracts and then the upcoming pitchers will figure out how they should approach it. Lay low and stay injury free and be reliable or roll the dice?
  7. I know we can't judge people on looks... but that guy has major creep vibes just by seeing his face. I see teh face of a guy who likes little girls... or a cop who beats up on "the blacks".... or he is the first one to suggest everyone skinny dip during a day at the lake... and it's all men there.
  8. The talking points are that it was a white man who said it, they say his Arabic word for America wasn't natural, or that it was an FBI plant. These gaza protesters are kindrid spirits to the January 6 folks.
  9. And Stanwyck in Fletch.
  10. put some long hair on JV and he's Dave Grohl.
  11. The Zimmerman case was something I evolved on too. I don’t remember the timeline and now it relates to my political evolution but his actions afterwards just led me down the path that he was a fake cowboy who like to start ****. He saw a black kid in a place he didn’t think he needed to be, confronted him, got his ass kicked, then shot him, and Floridas laws protected him. You can pick a pick and then kill the person.
  12. I am not a fan of Kerry Carpenter. I don’t know why he bugs me. I think it’s that headband combined with a Ken Doll blank smile all the time.
  13. I don’t think “giving it back to the states” will help things for the GOP in terms of messaging. That leads to Alabama and Texas and Florida. The Dems can then play up the issue of states monitoring people leaving the state to obtain them. It’s one of those things that sounds reasonable but we have already seen that it’s not practical. It might make moderate congress people happy but voters see thru it.
  14. that was a one shot deal. There's hundreds of people in prison right now to deter them from it. We've seen them try **** in the past, like blockades, etc.
  15. woke eclipse DEI crap.....
  16. That won't happen. he doesn't have the infrastructure to do such a thing. As POTUS, he had a shot since he was in charge of all the government agencies. How he's just some asshole with advisors who are not in power.
  17. My neighbor put up a Trump flag over his garage.... and he's on the corner so anybody driving down the street, which is a popular shortcut to avoid a light, will see it. So he didn't change his mind. But dammit... he's a nice guy. When it's a snowblower snowfall we both do a bunch of sidewalks together. Once he saw me in my garage getting ready and waved me off, told me to get back inside and have a beer, he's already all dressed up.
  18. I thought they did a good job. Very Curb like. This season over did the "Larry being Larry stuff", some of the bits were too blatant but whatever... I'm sure that was the intent. I loved the show. I looked back and realized I've been watching since before my 23 year old son was born. I know there was the huge gap. One constant theme for us the last few seasons was "Man, they all got old". But that's a good thing. Keep people working. I love how he would have his old friends from comedy days, be it SNL or Stand Up on the show. Folks like Mary Gross or Gary Kroeger. And of course Bob Einstein himself. It was a regular viewing for me on airplane flights, if they had it available. You could knock out 3 episodes and make the flight so much better.
  19. Wouldnt deadening the ball mean…. They admit to making them livelier? Can they pull a Vince McMahon and admit something they long denied.
  20. Anybody use budget software for the home and personal use? I’d like to formally start doing that. I also think I could probably just fancy up a spreadsheet on my own but I’d like something my wife could use easily. I don’t care if it costs money if there’s value. Turning 50 has made me start to pay more attention to these things.
  21. They way it was explained to me is Hamas is too stupid and too evil so everyone has to succumb and give in.
  22. Are all Sunday games 1:40? Wings play at home too at noon but I figure that has no bearing.
  23. Right. How do you legislate that? Ban pitches?
