I think 18 years is too short. I would go with 24. That gets you through 3 maximum presidencies, something we only saw twice in history. (Jefferson, Madison, Monroe and Clinton, Bush, Obama). I think you keep the spirit of a lifetime appointment. It would have affected these recent justices. Breyer, Ginsberg, Thomas, Rehnquist, Scalia, Stevens.

I'm confused about why #1 is about the SC? Is he proposing a specific bill to address that? I don't see that as SC reform though.

My neighbors do that. I just got back from Florida. We've gone 3 times since 2021 on the gulf and I love it. But of course when you are on vacation and steps from the water, it's nice. The heat doesn't bother me. Last year we did Pacific Beach in San Diego and that.... is how I could live.

This sums up the problems with the right wing take on culture. You either have to love it or hate it, rather than just accept some differences and move on and ignore it if it’s not your cup of tea. Nobody forced or expects Christians to have to “like” it. The world doesnt revolve around them. Christianity was not attacked by that.
