Bigots went ape **** because they don't want "fags drinking our beer too" The marketing person explained their rationale of wanting to reach other consumers. Bigots complained more about being called bigots. I guess the fault is believing their core customers were better people.

A friend of mine worked at the Ritz in the 90's and told me similar things about how they track their guests. Except in one instance it wasn't flattering. There was a Pizza Hut franchisee in the area, kind of well known, also a very big guy. He would take dumps in the bathtub. That was noted in the computer. I'm trying to think of anything Oliver Platt was in that wasn't great. What I like about The Bear is they don't go out of their way to explain things. Someone like Del obviously knows things that regular viewers don't but they leave it to us to either figure out or be in the dark and I'm ok with that. Treats the viewers with respect. Plus it would lose it's pacing and authenticity. Ron Howard dumbed down one of my favorite movies of all time, Apollo 13 so I'm not being that critical, but you won't have the reality of mission control people explaining basic orbital mechanic issues to each other. The Bear doesn't do that and I like it.

If anything the reaction, which included bomb threats, supports the idea, which the VP didn't express, is that the Tritts, Kid Rocks, and Ben Shapiro's of the world are indeed ****ty people. I don't know why you defend that.

yeah episodes 6 and 7 were great, we watched them back to back which I think is the best way to view it.

Wow, I really enjoyed Oppenheimer. What a cast. So many familiar faces, even in bit parts. I can't wait for it to come on streaming so I can watch again. I can't sit through 3 hours though. Like a pro I rationed my sour patch kids down to the credits. I'm assuming Cillian Murphy is a shoo in for the Oscar, nomination for sure. I read some criticism about them not showing any Japanese or Native Americans affected but I think that's fine. It's called Oppenheimer. It's about him. I was a little underwhelmed by the bomb scene though. I guess I had higher expectations so that's not to say it's a dud by any means.

Bud Light kept me a good boy up to my mid 20's. I hate it. Could never drink it. For the longest time I just assumed I didn't like beer. Then in 1996 or so I was handed a Killian's Irish Red and as they say it was all downhill from there. I'm not opposed to cheap beer but Bud LIght is something I just cannot drink. I'd rather go with iced tea or water in a scenario if that's my only lighter option. I went to a local show in Hamtramck last year and it was midweek so I had Miller High Life all night. It was fine. For lighter beers I usually go with an Atwater Dirty Blond or a variation of Founders All Day.

Because of family considerations it will probably never happen but I would love to spend a winter on the island. I watched a PBS doc on winter living and it seemed fascinating. There’s a great Facebook page called Mackinac Island News and Views. The winter posts are my favorite.

During our search we found decent places not near the beach area. Depends where you want to be. If beach access isn’t important it will open things up. If it is then expect to pay $300-600 a night. It was to us.

It is. Many there don’t even bother with HVAC. Every day starts out overcast then around 9ish it starts to become blue sky. I will say my experience last week is it’s warmer than the temperature indicates. It was a hot 78. We were in pacific beach and everything is 20 min away. Hit up the USS Midway. Torrey Pines. La Jolla. Balboa Park. The Zoo. Gas lamp district. Coronado island. And a few beach days.
